My company does a huge Toys For Tots drive every year. I'll do that again this year. My company is very particular about charity, and I agree with most of the policies and choices. I did the ABATE bike run once...

I would find it hard not support a run for the kids at ChoPs.  One of our friends has a son who is up there fairly often for leg problems.

Did the toy run today.  All I can say is WOW!!!  Say what you will about the ABATE crowd, but I am here to tell you first hand that that today they made a difference in the lives of kids that can use every bit of care they can use.

I would not even guess at the total # of bikes in the parade, but I can tell you that by the time my part of the line got moving the front part was at or very near CHOPS.

Toys were collected as you entered the facility and then you continued through the atrium where an assembly of faculity and patients were assembled.  Here we care givers and children in need clapping, hollering and yelling thanks to all the riders passing through.  If you can walk through that with a dry eye, you are someone I do not want to meet.

If any of you out there are part of the Philly/PA LEO that had a part in today; THANK YOU.

When all is said and done not only was it a great day, an awsome cause benefitted.  Is there any better thing we as riders can do.

Note to anyone considering next years ride. DO NOT, as I did, forget to put your ear plugs in before you start the ride to CHOPS.  Riding with one HD with straight pipes is not to bad. Riding with thousands around a city and under overpasses is not easy on the ears.

Nothing like getting together with a group of folks to do something for others. That would rank among the few things that get me in the Christmas spirit. Most of the people on my Christmas list (family) don't need anything and spending time is usually better than spending money.  Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas to you.  Thumbsup
