I'm going to try and salvage the Sensor somehow. I really like that jacket.

I would do the same. I doubt the liner damage is bad enough to affect the armor placement.

Hmmmm....... that means my Roadcrafter jacket(which was in the washing machine with the Sensor and not a thread out of place) is not really designed to protect me if I should come into contact with the pavement.
Go figure Headscratch Lol

Seriously. I never understood the ability to make a good motorcycle jacket but NOT give it the durability to be washed in a machine. Don't people understand that bugs/sweat/dirt/ozone all accumulate and needs to be cleaned once in a while???  Headscratch

You know, I'm with you on this one. If I ever design something myself, you WILL be able to machine wash it.

actually, it proves that one is designed to hold up to anything thrown at it, and, one isn't. Headscratch

Just wanted to let you know that SAND jacket and SAND pants just showed up at my store. They are AMAZING. I think I will be selling my CAYENNE PRO setup and getting SAND instead  Bigsmile

So...

Somewhere in this thread, I saw talls and Rev'it referenced -- I can't see that on the WWW site.

If I wanted to leave a comment I would leave it in that thread.  Lol

I have been using INFINITY suit for the past year, and while Sport Rider article brings some valid points about it, it has a lot of information that I don't agree with. That is as much as I want to say. FYI REV'IT! designers know about it's shortcomings and are working hard on improvements. Does GoreTex ring any bells?  Bigsmile

Perhaps I should change the title of this thread to "REV'IT! Bashing"  Rolleyes

It was not meant to be bashing.  I wanted to hear your take on it since it was published in a major moto rag.  What information don't you agree with? You have to admit that $1300 seems like an awful lot to ask for for a suit that has the designers working hard on improvements.

Any more info on the Sand outfit that you mention?  Is this an oversuit?  Does it have water resistance built in or does it need a separate liner?  What makes it so good?

I didn't mean your post was bashing. I was talking about general direction of this thread. It seems like a take all the beating for REV'IT as a manufacturer  Bigsmile

As far as SAND goes, why don't you stop by my shop to see it for yourself? You are 1 mile away from me  Lol

Damn. 6'7 and 215. I'm definitely into the 'tall' category. Oh well.

You pretty much treat it like you would treat any leather jacket - clean it with damp rag or leather cleaner, then apply some high quality leather conditioner. Clean the fabric sections with the same  damp rag (hot water makes it easier) Good luck.
