August of this year we had six.
2005 ZG1000
2005 CBR600F4i
2005 Ninja 250
2003 SV650S
2001 CBR600F4i
1986 VFR700

We are down to four now but I would really like to ditch the ZG1000 by summer. Once I own the garage of my dreams I think I would like to fill it with low mileage bikes from the 70s, 80s and 90s as a hobby.

Two years ago these were jammed into the garage during winter:

VStrom
Sportster Sport
RZ350
80 Zook 650
82 Zook 450

Amazingly, I sold all but the Strom, one by one. The DL1000 gets all the love.

At one point, there were three Hondas, a Suzuki and a Kawi.

Now that I have my Triumph, I've sold all my others and just need to get rid of my wife's first bike.  Two steeds sure seem cheaper to insure and keep in new shoes. Cool

We currently have six......three Ducatis, a Harley, Suzuki, and the Husqvarna.

Tags on three, insurance on four of them, and I currently have three of them in various degrees of disassembly.....Paso is an on-going project, the ST2 is having the 24k service done to it, and the Husky has a fuel delivery issue that can be cured in 30 minutes, but it's been apart for over 9 months.  Smile

In the mid 70's, I had my 72 Norton Combat, 74 Honda 450, Yammi 360 flat tracker, Suzuki Savage 400 dirt bike.  I lived in Oakland, and all bikes were stored in my kitchen.

My landlord thought I was kind of wierd.

For my last two years of college, I was assigned a carport right next to the bike racks. I squeezed 3 motorcycles and a car into that area. Surprisingly, in two years living there, my bikes were NEVER messed with.

There was a little bit of space at the end of the bike racks, big enough to park my Honda Elite 80 and 1970 CB350. My 1983 GL650 Silverwing got the space in front of my beater Nissan, which was driven VERY infrequently.

That would help  my  addiction? problem.

Course I'm not married, so I only have RIDING BUDDIES

All are available for sale, any time.

Thats not allowed. And it had only 1668 miles, for some reason.

Four and a half at the moment.  Razz

1 1972 CB450
1 and 1/2 1973 CB350
1 1982 CX500C
1 1996 Suzuki Bandit

For the record I would trade them all for a DL650/DL1000 or F650GS/F800GS, well I would probably try to keep the CB450 just to have one vintage ride around.

Six runners and three complete parts bikes (doubles), one of which will ride again, so technically seven. Smile

Three for me, and my wife also has one.

We'd have to do something different for storage if we wanted to have more.

Smile

I had to change my vote from 2006.....We now have eight running and a ninth that is a long-term project. I've since sold the Husky, added three Ducatis and a Yamaha.

Edit 8/19/2011 - Up to 10 and one project bike. Added a GSXR-1100 last August and grabbed a Bimota DB2 within the last 3 weeks.

I marked three, because that's what belongs to me. However, we have four bikes in the garage/driveway, since  one belongs to my wife.

i had 2 at same time twice..     02 VFR 800 and a Busa.   the other... the Busa and a GSXR750. amazingly...  i'm selling the FJR to go back to my beloved VFR. and if i work it right,  i'll have 2 VFRs. one tourer and one track whore. Call me crazy but i like to be different.

I have 3 but the Guzzi is still not ridable. I've been going to put it back together all year but I can't stop wanting to take out the Tuono. Boy that is a fun ride.  Bigsmile I picked it up last October with 2000 miles and now I'm closing in on 10k.  EEK!

We're at a new all-time high now with eight, though we rationalize this because two of them aren't actually ours. Lol

Mine:
BMW F650GS
Yamaha XT225
Honda CRF80F (not street legal)

Peter's:
Suzuki V-Strom
Suzuki DRZ400
Honda Superhawk

Other:
A friend's Suzuki SV650S (he lives in Ohio and needs a place to store it)
A borrowed Kawi Ninja 250 (they're loaning it to me to see if my back can ride it)

It's a little out of control in the garage now, especially since I can't really even ride any of them and Peter only rides when I do. Lol

Lol  We do kinda have that problem in general.  Bikes just take up more room than the other random crap that we collect. Lol
