I DO MY OWN STUNTS!

A few more days on the block...deployment delayed.

I hope that got your attention, YFFs.

Alright I tried to sell this last winter to no avail. Since then I threw more money at it, it still wasn't the bike for me, and I'm still sitting on it. It just so happens that our Uncle wants me to go on a trip again (this is good since I'm a civilian) and I might be leaving as soon as Friday, yes, THIS Friday.

So, this is where you come in. I want this thing gone. It's great, but the romance is over. You know how it is, you just get tired of things. Now life has become cumbersome and YOU benefit. Blah blah blah you aren't reading this part anyway...

Here are the good specs:

2005 Triumph Sprint

The bike has been maintained on schedule, every time, at 5k miles OR LESS depending on what I was involved with. The valves were great at 12k and 24k, it is about time for another check, but I expect they'll be fine.

Never tracked (though that was the intention, toward the end)

BRAND NEW Race-Tech w/gold valve front end, set for a 180# rider

BRAND NEW Ohlins fully adjustable rear (ride height, preload, compression, rebound, low-fat, extra hot, etc...) rear, but it is not included in the sale price here...though I will sell it for a good price

Rick Mayer seat

Givi rack and trunk

R&G Frame Sliders

New tires (ok, they don't match, the front is a new Pilot Power and the rear is a new Conti Road Attack)

Hayabusa front brakes (and you get the old ones too)

Upgraded (Triumph recall) front master cylinder

A couple of RAM mounts on the left bar

Battery Tender connector

Radar Screamer hard wired in

I'm sure there are a few other things, can't remember now.

The bad:

33k miles (no those are not kilometers, you wish)

It's been down, a couple of drops at 0 mph and also one at speed on the left, but the sliders saved pretty much everything. The stator cover got some metal taken off, but not much, and I painted over it. The fairings show this wear and tear, but it's not a train wreck. I have another set of Ebay fairings for the bike, same color, almost no damage to either, but a tiny bit.

General wear and tear. Boot wear near the pegs, stuff like that.

OK, pics:

I'm asking $4000 including everything listed above EXCEPT the Ohlins. If you want that too, we'll negotiate a reasonable price.

You can also email me at fast.triumph@gmail.com

I have the title (TN) in hand. I want this thing headed off my driveway by Friday. Seriously.

I will also consider trades, mainly for well appointed DRZ-400s or a Husky 610 style bikes.  Something light, dirt, street, and dirt-d00b friendly, preferably with two sets of rims.

+1. My wife says I should get a sport-touring bike again. She didn't mind riding pillion on my Sprint RS once I got a Corbin seat. But there is no room in the garage and the current occupants are keepers.

Awesome Bike!   If i was in the market for a bike I'd buy it from you.

I'm actually interested in doing the same thing that you are.   Sell my ZX 14 and go the dual sport route.   I should have never sold my DRZ 400sm.   Awesome bike and cheap to insure and maintain.

Shameless bumpage, but I'll say that the Sprint ST is a TREMENDOUS bike.  If my lower back accommodated anything more than the slightest forward lean, I'd never, ever have sold mine.  Roomy, capable, potent, reliable.  The only negative I had was the spongy feel of the Triumph front brakes, and SR has already eliminated that issue with the Hayabusa caliper swap.

So now the sale is posponed indefinately? I think I'm starting to understand why you've had such a rough time selling that bike.  Rolleyes

Headscratch  That's kind of harsh.  He's a civilian employee of the federal government and got one week's notice before heading halfway round the world.  So he tried to sell the bike in that week.  He isn't in the United States right now for a few months (come home safe, SR!).

You try to sell a bike from halfway round the world and let me know how it goes.

As it turned out, I got delayed a week (should have been in AT LEAST Kuwait by now) so if someone really wants an awesome deal you need to get in touch with me ASAP.  Yeah, I know this is an unconventional way to sell a bike, but you'll get an unconventional deal, too.

"Chesthing" there is only so much I can do.  Gonna be in Baghdad for at least 6 months, and I have a lot going on after that without a lot of knowledge as to "where" at this point.  Sure, I've been around the US for three months (since I left Kyrgyzstan) but I guess I had just consigned myself to believing I'd keep the bike during another deployment.  Putting the ad up was a whim...if I can sell it, that's great, if not, too bad.  Why you gotta be such a dick about it?

Anyway, if someone wants a fantastic deal, don't post to this thread, email me!

Can you stop your current deployment and get deployed again next year when I have the money?  Sad

Let's put it this way, I just bought 8 acres of wooded mountain property with cash.  My plan is to build a house on that, no mortgage involved.  No, I'm not gonna delay my deployment!  (but I am growing tired of doing this FOB stuff, despite the perks.)

Looks like I'm gonna wind up keeping the bike longer.   Sad  I hope someone comes along and surprises me!
