Handguards on Bandit?

I was looking at a 1250 Bandit today and the handlebar hardware looks very similar to the Strom's. Does anyone know if the Strom (1000 or 650) handguards would fit on a Bandit?

I installed DL 1000 handguards on my Bandit 1250. You will have to redrill the bolt hole in the left handguard and tap one of the bolts on the left handguard to give another half inch or so of thread. It's still a pretty easy install though. There's lots of discussion on handguards on the Maximum Suzuki site. I think I remember reading there that the DL 650 guards would go on with fewer modifications.

I'm interested in the mirror extenders on the front end pic in the first link, Where would I pick up something like that? I'm a pretty big guy, 280 lbs 6' and its a challenge to effectively use the mirrors as they come stock on the '08 1250.
Any info appreciated
