Bought it last year with 3500 on it and put 4000 on it in 4 months and all the miles were done in the mountains. It's a trailer queen until I get to Hendersonville.

Ha! Yeah but with a job riding a desk for 90% of the time, along with a 9 mile round trip commute, I can go a whole month on one tank of gas.
I seriously have not been on a fun ride all year... that will have to be remedied...

I used to take 10 day trips that were that long.
Oh well. This summer was filled with a house project so hopefully 2010 will have more riding in store.

bumpity...
55,859 miles as of today. So that's about 6K miles per year again. Plus the 25 feet of travel on the right side plastics...
One interesting thing that came up was that I got about 11K miles on the set of Avon Storms. I was happy with them and put on a new set of the Storm IIs.
No LEO encounters either.

Less than 11K miles this year. This is called IRONY. I got a new job in the MC industry and actually needed to buy a car to transport samples.
I have put about 20K miles on my car in about 6 months that would have normally been on the bike. Almost 5 year without a car. With gas prices going back up the riding will surely increase.

5/15/2007 - 0
9/19/2010 - 19,884
2/28/2011 - 23,761
gonna be putting on a lot of miles this year, since I have the extra time, at least for now.

Well, a new set of Avon Storm 2 ST Ultras were spooned on today. Mileage 61,642 so another approximate 6,000-mile year which ate up the set of Storm 2s. Seems to be forming a pattern...

2010 Ducati Multistrada 1200S Touring
Purchased new August 02, 2010, now at 21,640
Seven sets of tires
I got over to Asheville on Saturday, got some wings at Wild Wing and rode home.
Matt,
When are we going riding?
BTW, I've found the Wedge, really like that place, can't wait for warmer weather.

Sweet Baby Jenkins... 3K miles per set of tires on the Duc? You're putting that No-Mar to work ain'tcha?
The weekends are pretty booked over the next month (except for one which I might take the little RS125 out racin') as we are under contract on our house and will be moving about a block away. After that we can get some riding in. And start hitting the Wedge again also. Wednesday is the bike day, but I haven't been since last fall. Love me some witbier there in the summer.

I tried some tires that were too sport orientated, but now have found the Michelin Pilot Road II, and got 4600 miles out of the last two sets. Could have pushed them to 5000 before cording them out like the tire you saw on my old Multi down in Georgia. This is one of the poor choices, a Dunlop Q2 at 2111 ,miles. I liked the way they rode and handled, and they were on sale, but I won't run them again
