Who is willing to further handle the planning of the national? I'm not going to make it (I'm going to Spain!  ) Plus I now have too much going on.

What's left to be arranged is a meal, registration, and tshirts.

Glad to have started things out, it was fun, but real life beckons.

Tshirts - Dogboy has done them in the past, but Jeff did them last year. I think Jeff's still up for doing some more STN work

Meal - steffr already pointed out a couple of prime locations so it would just be a matter of making final arrangments (prepayment, headcount, actual location/date/times

Registration - a headache in of itself, but rewarding at the end. Someone with good organizational skills would be helpful here  Bigsmile

Have fun in Spain!

I'm making plans to come to the National - made reservations at Gunnison Inn yesterday.  I would be willing to take on the meal planning and/or the registration.

I'd be glad to help if I can.  I would also understand if you all would prefer to trust these tasks to someone you know better.  Just let me know what, if anything, I can do to help.

Either way, I am looking forward to a great summer trip to include STN in Gunnison.   Chili Chili Chili Chili

For anyone who steps up to help plan the national, know that I'll be happy to help with any information and suggestions that you may need. I've planned a few of these myself and know some of the things to watch for along the way  Bigok

So a couple of possible eateries are  picked and about the T-shirts,Dogboy designs them correct ,but we still need someone to do the actual printing  or does he do all,and Jeff? 9( stn screen name?) ,same?? I was thinking of getting Destination (Jimmystartup) to do them to save hauling them from Pa, but still would want someone who does decent graphics to do a design as I suck at it Lol
The restruant thing might (and don't count me out on anything because of this statement) be better handled by someone closer but,I Will think about it.Guidance  and suggestions oh den mother I need and want

I'd be down with it if I knew for sure if I was coming.

I've already got the time blocked off, but if the economy tanks further I might be saving dollars for a walk-in freezer and a bowhunting setup instead of vacationing.

The 2008 National was far easier than the previous ones I helped manage, simply from having Jimmystartup print the shirts and everyone order them online.  It made the whole registration issue a non-issue.  All you really have to do is hand out blank name tags and check people off the list if they prepaid for a group dinner.

I ended up a few bucks out of pocket for the dinner last time, but it wasn't a big deal.  What WAS was the portion size - make sure whoever's catering it (if you go that route) guarantees a certain amount of food per person.  I liked the food in Arkansas, but the portions were NOT STN-worthy.

So... we still need somebody to coordinate all this.  I've got so much crap going on that I barely even have time to ride, let alone plan the National.  Anyone?  Bueler?

Hey you two ,thats rather an old post  Lol,a lot went on since then.Any way I need some one to do the restraunt thing,I am having no luck and I have limited time right now ,between job searching and working PT and the medical crap going on with my vison. So if someone wants to do that part it sure would help.Getting something close with room enough may be a slight problem, only one advertises group dinners ,the Palisades on 820 N main St (970-641-9223) and the closest the Quarter Circle maynot be big enough, its 300 feet away from the Inn,at 323 E Tomichci ave (970-641-0542)
I have worked on a T-shirt ,I need to ask Jimystartup if he's intrested in doing it and seee if what I have is doable and such, guess I better send a pm
Anyway we still need help here.......... Embarassment
