Way ahead of ya on that one- Already got some lined up, including a major project that has never, ever been done before.
It's not the full color colonoscopy I've heard about, with a 70/200 is it?.....................

Nah- I thought I'd use any Sigma lens as I dont think the "environment" would be too far from their origins

didn't shoot anything at the practice... wasn't enough there.

Ok, people- Here is the first image produced from my new studio. The camera was my Nikon D3 and the lens was an old Vivitar Series 1 105mm f2.5 macro lens that just happens to kick ass for portraits. Lighting was done with two Elinchrom 600RX monolights and various softboxes and reflectors.

So, I've seen the full size, unwatermarked version. Fred you know this is a great image.

Spring is coming... the mind turns to sport-touring again...
Sunset yesterday evening.
I wish I had left the tail lights on. May need to retake this one.

At some point I'll get around to trimming the 1500 photos I took at Disney World (in 5 days) down to something more reasonable to share with you guys.
Until then, these two photos from the fireworks show over Epcot seemed like some nice standouts. My wite is actually having me blow up the first one to hang in her office.

Thanks, Rags! The camera is a Sony DSC-H50 bridge, not professional by any stretch, but I like it.

OK, so I've had this camera about a week, and taking Fred's suggestion I've been shooting in RAW. Which is awesomest.
Here's some stuff I shot:

This thread is 70 pages of goodness and far too much to browse thoroughly. I'm sure this question is answered to some extent past the initial post. For those of you who carry prosumer or pro 35mm SLR rigs, filters, multiple lenses and etc, how do you carry all of that safely on your bike? I want a quick off the bike, shoot the shot, on the bike and go solution.
Some of the places where I see the best shots aren't necessarily the most welcoming places so I want to keep my camera easily operable/accesible to so I can grab the shot and be safely, at least quickly) on my way. For that matter, grabbing shots of a sweet bike blazig past as I fill the thank. Thanks

Hmmm old thread...
For short trips I use a Thinktank Ultralight strapped to the back of my seat. It holds 2 cams, a 300 2.8 & 70/200 2.8 (& a wide prime) with asst stuff
For long trips I use bags in 30" Revit bag. My cam bag, some camp stuff, tripod & clothe soft bag. I shot early and late (& sports) so I need pro fast lenses. This is my last cross country set up somewhere in west Texas
All that BS aside; if you shoot days & are a Nikon shooter; an 18/200 is great in a tank bag. Put a piece of 1" soft foam to cushion shock.
Good shooting

Here's a nice "little" addition to my lens line. Can't wait to get some pics with this monster. Not too shabby for my sons first Daddys day gift.

I just bought a new point and shoot Olympus SP-600UZ, and while going through the menus I see an item called compression.
This has a choice of normal and fine.
Please explain
What is being compressed?
Is the a rule of thumb about when you might want to use one or the other?
Is this question considered under the "Methods" umbrella or should it have been posted in the other thread?
Thanks
