Had to break in the new Avon Distanzia's and had the day off so it's time to ride.

I rode down CA1 to Bixby Bridge toward Big Sur which was built in 1932(I think). Before the bridge was built folks had to take a dirt rode that winds through the hills but now it's just used for the residents that live back there or for someone looking to have a little fun on their DRZ. Bigsmile

It's about twelve miles long and ends up a few miles from the River Inn in Big Sur and it's nice and muddy in spots from the recent rains.

Nice day and decided to ride back up 1 to see how well the Avons grip on pavement.(Love 'em!)

Hwy 1 and some fun dirt roads. I'm jealous.

I take partial credit for this one because I harassed ratpick endlessly until he finally bought a DRZ. Glad he recovered from all the arm twisting and can ride again.

Aren't there a bunch of pot farms up there?  Be careful.

How did you like the Distanzias in the mud like pic 0358?

That's a nice looking DRZ.  Thumbsup Distanzias should be a great choice for that kind of ride.

Great ride photos too!!!

The Distanzia's got me through the mud albeit with a lot of slipping but I got through.Nothing like a good set of knobbies for the mud.

Doctor said my arm should be fine in a couple more weeks.
