I went for a drive today to visit my parents in Bouctouche New Brunswick approximately 50kms from where we live in Moncton.  Here are a few shots that I took on the way.

Keep the ball going ......

Coming from the Acadian Rider here's is the obligatory covered bridge shot.

I HATE winter. We got back form Mexico last night it has not stop snowing. When I was going I missed 1 foot of snow 2 inches of rain and -30, all in 14 days. Think of what my driveway looks like. I dont have the time to take pictures of the crap I,m just trying to make sure we can get out the driveway.

Some nice pictures.  I'm definitely jealous of some of those locations.  Great timing on the light on the second one there Alpha-dog-man.  Kootenanny, I can see why selection of a snow blower was important to you.

Well, mine aren't as good being in the city and not having time lately to take real photographs, but I'll play.  Here's one of the nicer day's we've had lately, wishing to go riding.  Looked at it again today as the weather was fairly warm, but the entire alley-way is full of ice.  The other is of the Unimog tromping down the snow in front of the house in December because I got tired of getting stuck in the car.

I was going to ride the KLR yesterday but it is just so clean right now and I am about to do the Dohickey and valves. Drove the car along my proposed route and was glad I did not. What a mess ... roads were mostly bare but covered in crap as one would expect.

Today we woke to 8cm of snow and the rest of the week will be the rain, snow, rain with freezing temps overnight.

On the bright side, I am tracking the sunrise and sunset as I am want to do this time of year out of sheer desperation for light.

I apologize for the crappy quality.  No scanner so I just shot the prints on my kitchen counter with my SLR.  From when I moved into my house in Rossland in January 2002.  My aunt from Penticton helped me move in and we shoveled snow for hours in shifts as the landlord hadn't touched the path or driveway all winter.  There was so much snow that winter I eventually had to shovel the snow from the drifts beside the path into the centre of the yard as they were getting above my head.  Great skiing, though.

Went snowshoeing on the weekend in Kananaskis.  It was my first time but I had a lot of fun so I think I will be doing it again.  It's a lot cheaper than downhill skiing!
