Since the XB's came out I've never really considered a tuber but this M2 caught my eye.  I always thought the M2 was the best of the tubers and I really don't think I'm gonna have the dosh for an XB this time around.  20K miles and and hour and a half from home.  Even if well maintained the 20K part is a bit concerning.  I don't turn more than 2500 miles a year but is this a lot to start with?

not at all -- I put 20K on my M2 in a summer and a half -- if it was well maintained, oil changed regularly, and like that, that bike has lots of life left in it . . . . . . . .

There's a yellow X1 locally; if it ever goes up for sale, I might have to check into it!  Although I own a Firebolt, I think the tuber X1s are some of the best looking bikes ever--and that M2 is right up there, too.  It might need a bit more coddling than a VFR, but in return it should offer a great feeling ride, a feel you won't find on any Honda...

And generally speaking, the tube-frame Buells go relatively cheap.  My only complaint with them is that they are not as compact as the XBs, but that's because I like very compact bikes.

I worked with the X1 and M2 quite a bit. The engines are very simple, sturdy, and reliable. If its been taken care of, its good to go.

That being said, that is a HOT M2!
