The fourth annual 2009 Meet and Eat / Burger Run to Dennys Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, PA will be on Sunday April 26. May 3rd will be the rain date. Region 6 rides in the rain, but snow, cold or heavy downpours (last year) will be reason to try again a week later. As in years past, we have the back room reserved and will spill out into the other dining areas as needed.

Expect lots of people to make a weekend of it and take the long way to Clearfield on Saturday and stay at the Days Inn Saturday night. Ride locally Sunday morning, then have lunch at Dennys, home of the Worlds Largest Burger, with maybe 100+ like-minded crazies, then race for home (while fighting off a food coma).

More info about Dennys can be found at: http://www.dennysbeerbarrelpub.com

Search for ride reports from the previous three Burger Runs to get a sense of what it's all about...

When I got out there, I usually run out Rt. 1 to Conawingo, then slalom the state line out to Rt. 26, then head North.

Interested in sharing your route from SE PA? I'll be starting out just a little south of Philly and am open to suggestions.

BTW: you really should change your screen name to WEEski.

Hang loose, there are usually several groups leaving from this area.  You can surely meet-up with one of them.  Not sure yet whether I'm going to try a 1-day, 2-day or 3-day ride this year.  Here are some suggestions, but you can mix them up. I'd be hard-pressed to pick the best. GPX File - Right Click & Save as These were routes from previous years.  Chornbe has a good suggestion; there are so many ways, and only so many days.  Yeah, maybe I should change my handle, & maybe I will get another FJR, let's see what color next year's model is...

I make this a nice day ride from Ephrata.  Leaving early.

Here is Hyner Overlook from the 08 Burger Run, just before the heavy rain.  I'm hoping for sun in 09!

Look at that burger in the first image again and tell me you don't think 1520 miles one way isn't worth it.   Lol
