You either have the nicest garage in the world or you're single. Either way, I think I envy you.

Oh yeah, nice bike. Looks good without the tater cannon on the side.

Very nice in black Sam. Congrats...

Just curious, but how has the progression to bigger/heavier changed your riding (if at all)? You've gone from the ST2 to the ZX14 to the C14. Is it noticeably more effort to toss the big girl around in the twisties at the same pace you used to ride the ST2? I really liked the ZX14 I demo'd a few years ago, but also find myself looking for the lightest bike in a class that I can find (sportbikes with soft luggage).

I really liked the ZX14 I demo'd a few years ago, but also find myself looking for the lightest bike in a class that I can find (sportbikes with soft luggage).

Well I have not been sticking to my number one rule very well, "light is right" but I find the older I get the more comfort I want. Most of the guys I ride with ride BMW's (Gt's, Rt's, Lt's, ect.) so the pace has slowed a little (very little Wink) and the miles have increased.
I had my ZX14 set up great for SPORT-touring duty, very comfortable and 5-600mi. days were not bad. The worst part about riding that bike (for me anywho) was trying to ride it at a "sane" pace, 90% of the time I wasn't doing a very good job. If I rode that bike like it was meant to be (IMO) I'd be cruising at a steady 120MPH...
As far as changing my riding, "YES" I notice my corner speed is progressively slower as bike weight rises. My ST2 was the fastest cornering and it had the least power, followed by the ST3 and finally the ZX14. The Concorse weighs in a whopping 135lbs (dry) more than the ZX14 so I expect my cornering speed to drop even more. "BUT" that's OK, it's the STREET and I'm not as good a rider as I once thought I was! Lol

Nice new ride, Sam.  Hope to catch you at Denny's (or ESTN). Well, not 'catch' you while you're riding, that's theoretically impossible  Bigsmile

PS... I just noticed you installed a Two Brothers Can on the big girl.  Nice touch.  How did you get it to fit in your house!?

It's not in the house, it's a sun room off the back of the garage, it used to be my wife's hobby, craft room. It's now a motorcycle garage, she's not a happy camper. Rave
Oh well, she'll get over it... Bigsmile

Sam,

Congrats on your new "Darth Tourer" bike.. Lets get together for a shakedown ride this spring and we can kick the tires a bit and I"d be happy to pass some of the big girl's good and bad traits that i've found since owning one. (not that she really has many bad traits) Keep her tires at close to 42psi cold and you'll find she almost handles as well as the zx did, albeit a bit chunkier.

Be careful and don't submit to the "Dark Side" Wink

Thanks Mike. I'm looking forward to riding with you again, had a fun day last time Thumbsup but I doubt I'll be able to keep up with you in the tight stuff next ride. Sad
So far the Connie doesn't seem too handle bad, but a bike push'in 700lbs is no match for a "wack-job" (I mean that in a good way Razz) riding a 600cc sport bike he knows like the back of his hand. Bigsmile
How many miles on your bike now?  Oh, and I enjoyed your ride report! Thumbsup
