Holy cow, where did the winter go? It's almost riding season! A new year of Ephrata First Sunday Ride-Ins starts March 1st... just over a week away. Yay!

If you've never been, it's the first Sunday of the month (duh!) in Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pa. At the American Legion, Cocalico and Vine Streets, approx. 8am to 12pm. No entrance fee, all makes and models welcome. A breakfast is available (for a cost).

Attendance varies with the weather, but on a warm July day I've seen 600 bikes there, easy. No single picture can convey the size of it, but here's a picture from last year. What's visible in this picture is maybe 1/8th of what's there.

So, who's going? Don't forget to take and post pics!

During the peak months I would guess there are more than 1000 bikes there, it's quite the ruckus.

I won't be able to make it this coming month unless my schedule gets freed up.  10-day forecast is showing 60% chance of snow for the Saturday before.

Really crappy weather not with standing, I'll be up for some breakfast and a little shoot the bull with the regulars suspects.

I think they still count, but I was there 2 years ago (I forget which month), and I asked they fella counting on the way out, he had it at 1,800 bikes, and they were still rolling in.

Yeah, you'll be needing to find a buyer for your Strat, right? (you're not selling)

I can't even give that piece of crap away.  Oh it's too big, it's too slow, it's uncomfortable, my feet don't touch the ground, it can't turn, it uses too much gas.

No body wants it.

Well, you can *give* it to me... I just can't afford to buy it. No, no... don't thank me. I solve problems for a living.

Weather permitting, I'll be there. Look for a black C-14 ABS or a black and gold ZRX. Or both if my brother wants to ride. Where do you fellas ride to after the meet? I usually end up going north to Lebanon and Northumberland Co., or down around the river. More than once I've ended up in Sullivan Co.

I'm there nearly every month it's running.  Usually early in/early out before it gets impossible to exit, tho that's not usually a problem in March 'cuz the fair-weather riders are still at home.  Smile

If you park in the lower lot by the ball fields, its usually not a problem... Alot of times, we will ride through the field and out the back of it, its alot easier...
