just my opinion...not much difference between synthetic and a good quality dino oil like Castrol 30W/50 if you change it every 1500 miles
Maybe I'm incorrect in my thinking process but one of the advantages for me is stretching out the services because of the synthetic. I usually go 4,000 to 4,500 miles between oil changes. Using dino I religiously do changes every 3,000 miles. Unfortunately I live in a condo so servicing my bikes isn't an option so I'm reliant upon the dealer. This will change this summer though, my wife & I are building a log home on a local lake for a getaway place and I have a nice garage I working on now.
I'm researching air compressors, lifts, lighting, flooring, etc. I hope to be doing my own oil changes here soon...
