I hear an RSV1000 can be tweaked for multi-day tours.  It might make a fun, fast very sporty tourer.  Can anyone suggest what items are available?  Seats, bars, bags etc.

Has anyone tried it?

I rode from Corpus Christi to the Texas hill country on my stock Mille. I didn't have any luggage.

It can be done, although it's not the most comfortable bike.

Anything could be done, however you better pick up the Futura, way more comfortable and almost as much fun...

Mister Smoothe does it. Of course, he doesn't pack any clothes and wears his leathers everywhere.

Here's my '01 Mille R set up for multi-day touring.   Lol

I did 480 miles one day with Greench440 and it was fine.  I've installed Acculign rearsets; they aren't adjusted further back than stock, but they're set to the lowest possible setting.  This helps with legroom.

Exactly.   Lol  Actually, my Mille is OK on the ass cheeks.  As long as I consciously move around and stretch my legs every 15 miles or so it's fine.  I'm too lazy to ride more than about 500 miles in a day, anyhow.  Bigsmile

Pittsburgh to Georgia?  That could be a wonderful trip if you had the time avoid the slab and route through the twisties.   Thumbsup Thumbsup

I did it last year. I rode from Detroit area to Deals Gap. Down part way Friday and Saturday, rode the Smokies on Sunday, back home on Monday. Then I turned around and rode down to Indy for the MotoGP race the following Thursday for the weekend. I purchased a Ventura rack a few years ago and used a stem mount for a velcro GPS just in case I got too lost.

I will try to figure out how to post pictures later after work, but if this part works you can see my pictures on my Flicker:

There are pictures of what I did to my bike towards the bottem of the list of pictures. My rack has the bag on it, and my buddy has one on his RC.
