Is there a reason the guy that was riding the KLR is in the front of your photo? Bigsmile
Be great to have you on the ride again.

Hi all,  I been watching this trip take shape sounds like it would be fun.  I have a farm in Henniker, NH anyone coming through this way?  There are some great roads between here and Rindge.  Could someone send me a link/address for the NH jumping off point and a meet time.  If I slab down 202 I can be there in 45min. or so.

Does anyone know what happened to Mototown? (CT meeting place)  I was up there yesterday and swung through the parking lot.  It's completely cleaned out, gone, kapup, and otherwise out of business.

I checked out their website when I first tuned into this thread. They were thanking everyone for all their support and saying goodbye.

I'm sure the Dunkin Donuts is still open.  That's all I care about. Bigsmile

I didn't stop in there, but it was dark and there weren't any cars at that end of the parking lot.  There were only signs-of-life at the Gold's Gym.

I'm really hoping DD is open too!

Like you said the quickest way is to just jump on 202 but then for fun take 137 back to 202 and we will be at the citgo at the junction of 202 and 119.

Whoa, thanks for checking.  Their site is gone now and I guess they are out of business (again).

If the lot is not chained shut, let's just meet there anyway.  You'll have to take your bio break in the woods and go without the coffee.   Crazy  Make sure you have enough gas to go 100 miles before you get there.  There's a gas station right off 91 if you are coming that way.

Yes Sir that is a good ride!  Hancock to Peterbough has some great back roads.

I have a couple of riders meeting me at my farm to ride down to the meeting point.  They may come the night before from up north and crash here.

I take it we should be there by 8:15 ish..... top off the tanks and good to go.  My tank light starts it's blinking at 150 or so depending on the "pace" so I try to top off whenever I can.

Can anyone share the route beforehand?  I'm not much of a slab rider but I do enjoy good company.

I'm not the one organizing this, but I'm going to guess that the route will look something like this: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=US-202&daddr=MA-2A%2FMA-32%2FMain+St+to:MA-2%2FMA-2A%2FMohawk+Trail+to:Federal+St%2FMA-63+to:Conway+Rd%2FMA-116%2FMain+St+to:42.615265,-72.746658+to:MA-2%2FMohawk+Trail+to:Main+St+to:MA-23%2FMA-41%2FMain+St%2FUS-7&hl=en&geocode=FWSAjAIdjMi0-w%3BFUDziQIdJAGy-w%3BFVy4iQIdHvet-w%3BFZr4iAIdMF6t-w%3BFcfviAIdbiWp-w%3B%3BFTCaigIdVA6n-w%3BFX6KiwIdVl-k-w%3BFQ7agwIduJeg-w&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=5&sz=11&via=1,2,3,4,5,6&sll=42.539928,-72.671127&sspn=0.371349,0.892639&ie=UTF8&ll=42.617187,-72.743338&spn=0.002898,0.006974&z=18

K, i just put in a call to the Manager of the gas station in Rindge at Rt. 202 and 119  and told her there will be a bunch of folks on bikes coming in looking for coffee and bathrooms so she better be prepared on both counts,  she is a novice rider, she just got her first bike, a 2005? Honda Shadow. There will be plenty of coffee, and a porta potty or 2 in the lot. Ps; she is an  awesome cook and single if anyones looking,,,, LOL

at 9:30
I have a route that is 3 -  3.5  hrs depending on how long our stops are  we should be at the Mc D's by 1pm  I'll probably grab a McLunch  but there are other resturants near by if others want to go there.

please have your tank topped off  and ready to roll at 9:30

I would like to limit the group to 7 besides me ,  there are a lot of lefts and rights and its hard to keep a big group together.

see you in a couple weeks

I'll be on  a blue Vstrom with a top box

I looked over that route Malbojah and have a couple of suggestions.  When you come out on 116 in Ashfield, heading north on 112 will add a lot of time to your trip.  Route 2 (Mohawk Trail) often has a lot of cars, especially on a Saturday and few places to pass.  I would also avoid Pittsfield like a nail in the road.  Way too many traffic lights.  As an alternative I would either head south on 112 all the way to Route 20, then 20 west to Route 8 south to 23 west into Great Barrington or take 143 west to Route 8 south at Camp Emerson.  Then follow 23 into GB.  The second route offers less traffic

I know that stop. I've pulled in there many times to take a nap on the picnic tables.

Sean will lead one group frm 202/2 and I will lead what I will call the slow group. I did hear a comment last year that from someone that "they wernt sure that hitting 100 MPH was slow" hahaha
I forgot what route I took last year but like Keith said we will stay away from rt 2 and Pittsfield.
Anyone that wants to lead a group is more than welcome to. I think I already have 5 or 6 people with me and as Sean said to many make it a pain.
 See you in two weeks.
