Heck , that sounds like a great song title. But seriously , I was going to take the Mini Cooper down to my friends crib and check out Bike week this week and last minute weather forcast compelled me to get on the scoot instead.

So anyone wanting to ride along, I'll be leaving in the AM from Tucker Ga and headed down to Daytona early in the morning so I can make a jam sesson tomorrow night. Yep got the axe along on the strap to back this will be a test and one that should either kill me or make me happy. LOL

Anyway the beemer is headed south at nine sharp from Tucker . Anyone wanting to cruise down that way that was going solo , this is your shot to have a buddy . I will be riding speed limit more or less as max gas mileage is my goal not speed as it is boring either way so why not get the fifty mpg I know i can get.

call or email

my info is on line here.

Nice. I live in Tucker, too. Can't ride down with ya, though. Got a boss that wouldn't be too happy about that.  Twofinger

To me this means ride alongside cages & trucks. Crazy Hope ya enjoyed that cuz there's NFW I'll do it unless it's absolutely necessary.

I went up the 2nd Friday & hung at the mfg'ers tents at the Speedway. Traffic seemed a bit lite.

I rode down and back on Sunday. Lot's of HD's on trailers.

Good ride though 935 miles in 16 hours, taking backroads all the way down from Atlanta.

We spent 5 days at Bike week.   Looked like a very good crowd this year!

Sorry it took so long to answer the questions.

A.  Riding the speed limit lasted about an hour then I decided I didn't give a shit about mileage I just wanted to get to my buddys place before dark. LOL

B.  If I never hear another HD straight pipe, it would be too soon.

C.  All the chicks that one hears about are paid models , most of the babe's I saw on the bike of Hogs were well, seasoned professionals comes to mind. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

D.  I made the whole eight hour trip without one close call , ran with traffice or slightly ahead of it at times and got on average high forties, learned really quick that week Shell gas rules. Got noticeably more mpg's.

E.  Got all the way down to the road my buddy lives on and he warned me about the sand gets trick when it don't rain. It hadn't rained in forever, it was tricky, made the first mile then turn left into a canyon of ruts from a stuck cement truck and promptly dumped the RT on its side and ripped the case guard off crushed my ankle and scrubbed up a side bag. The dianese leathers and reinforced boots did what they are supposed to and other than favoring my left leg all day managed to get out with nothing seriously broken.  Made it in and out of the ever worsening road conditions all week long without another spill but glad I don't have to do that every day to get to my crib. 'OUCH"

repairs to the bike ran about five large with me doing most of the work but paint. Could have been much worse so I'm over it.

F. Saw some way killer deals on the left over BMW S bikes . They had the best sale on clothes there at the beemer dealer I've seen so far , but I had no dough for clothes in the budget. Did go to the Helmet Shop in Daytona which has hands down the best deals in helmets. Tried on a few for future reference as depending on brand I'm either a large or extra large so that was worth the walk.

G. Went out one whole day for the Harleywood thing and it was more fun than mainstreet, checked out some Ducati's and Trumpets while there and saw some T and A and took a few pics of the models.

H.  Did a lot of eating venison at my buddy's crib and seafood elsewhere and did a lot of pickin' and grinnin with my buddy and some of his friends and then did a ride through the park up there above daytona, Don't remember the name of it but it was cool.

The road continued to deterriorate and I left on Sat Mar 7 to avoid hitting the race day traffic going back to Atlanta as they had a big NAPSCAR race in Atlanta that weekend.

Uneventful trip home other than seeing about a million HD's on trailers and getting a chuckle about that.

bike wash anyone ?
