So towards the end of last summer I took a left turn a little too hard, hit some grass, and went down.  I was fine (helmet on), but the bike had some damage.  There was nothing that made it un-rideable and I didn't have the cash to fix it, so I finished the season with slightly bent handlebars and nice dent in the tank.

I originally intended to get a new bike this year, but the timing really isn't right.  Anyways, I decided I'll fix the bike instead.  So, I'd like to see if anyone has any good ideas or good experiences that they can share.  Here are my initial thoughts.

A) Tank - I have no idea how easy (expensive) the dent would be to fix.  I want to paint it either way, so I thought that I might just snag a used tank sans dents and paint that.

B) Handlebars - I'd like to get away from the stock bars.  I've never been a fan of how these bars look.  I was thinking of something straighter.  Anyone have any suggestions or input?

C) Other - If anyone else has another idea on how to improve the bike I'd love to hear it.

B) Flanders or some Ducati handle bars are your friend.

C) Suspension, suspension, suspension! (Traxxion if you can afford it, Race Tech if you're on more of a budget).
