Make an appearance at the ST.N national in '10.  Cool

With us, it better cost $245 or the cheap ba$tards on this site won't "waste" money on it. Razz

Ghazi, thanks for the response.  I will be ordering soon.

Oh, and do you guys have any plans on attending Americade or Laconia next spring?  I think you would get even more business if folks could get their hands on your suits to check them out more thoroughly.  New companies have a hard-enough time developing a good reputation for quality, but many Americans seem to be prejudiced against the "Made in Pakistan" too, or at least it causes them to question the quality of a product.  Bring the suits to more shows and you'll most likely have more business than you can handle.

bravo - thanks. looking forward to your order.

We will be attending various CycleWorld International Motorcycle shows this year. Confirmed shows include Dallas, San Mateo and Long Beach. We will try to add as many shows as possible including Americade.

Prejudice against Made in Pakistan is definitely there but people dont realize how much riding gear is made in Pakistan. Due to the prejudice a lot of companies simply dont attach a Made in Pakistan tag to the gear. Hopefully, when people will see our gear in person, they will be able to looking beyond this prejudice Smile

luvmy883 - i did not know abou the national. i will look into it.

The FedEx guy just dropped off my order.  I tried it on and the fit couldn't be better, which is a surprise, since most things don't fit me.
I got the first-gen vented suit, size large-tall.  I'm just over 6'1", 150 lbs, 33" inseam and there is nothing I would change in terms of fit.
This is my first one-piece riding suit, so I don't have anything to directly compare it to.

Haven't had a chance to go riding in it yet, but so far here are my observations:
The quality is very good considering the price, no defects or sloppy seams that I can see so far.  Better than any other "budget gear" that I have purchased.
The armor fits where it should and is not distracting or uncomfortable.
I like the dark gray color, it's subtle but not bland.

The vents seem like they would be very difficult to close when on the bike.
The thermal liner tends to get caught in the zipper when zipping up the legs. I probably just need more practice.
Most of the pockets are too narrow and deep to be very practical.
"translate to fast" just doesn't do it for me.

For me, the most important factors are good fit and proper/comfortable armor placement, so I'm happy.  The only major detraction is the narrow pockets, but that's already been fixed in the current versions of the suit.  Everything else is very minor.
I think Ghazi has a good product here.  Having put my hands on one, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend his suits, especially the newer generation.

I'll post another mini-review after I've commuted in the rain a few times.

I just got my Lombard suit delivered and posted my first impressions over at ADV rider.

Take a look: --> http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?p=10913028&posted=1#post10913028

I am pleased so far.  I'm looking forward to getting some miles on it to see how it holds up.

By the way...Made in Pakistan doesn't bother me.  I've got a few friends who were made in Pakistan, and they're alright.

Ghazi, do you have any more pics of the full Lombard suit in various colors?  I thought I saw a pic of one in red before, but I can't find it anywhere now.

Edit: I found a pic of the Cross Continent suit in red in the Road Bike Magazine review.  I'd still like to see some more pics, if you have them available.  I went ahead and ordered a light gray Lombard suit, so I can get some use out of it this season.  If you guys continue to make improvements based on customer feedback, I'm sure I'll order another one in red next summer in anticipation of my 4-week ride around the country next fall.   Bigok

Ah, ok thanks.  I guess I didn't explore the site as much as I thought I did.  I do like the red a lot, but I'll be happy to be able to use the light gray suit over the next few weeks as opposed to waiting on a pre-order.  Keep up the good work, and I'll probably buy your next generation suit in red.

Any plans for a full 2-piece suit with all the same features as the 1-piece?  I realize the 1-piece is relatively simple to get in and out of, but I think I'd still like to be able to just take the jacket off when I stop for lunch.

hello,
yes pants for the 2 piece (with the jacket being the Ventura jacket already available) are being worked on. will be up for sale soon.

i recommend going for a Diego leather-mesh suit in Red for your second suit so you have something different from the Lombard that you already have.

I am intrigued Ghazi.

Do you have anything sized for the ladies?

-k

Have you given more thought to this since your last response? The unisex thing just doesn't cut it - we're talking about a difference in inseam, torso length, arm length & girth, chest/waist/hip proportion. All of this makes for an uncomfortable and less safe suit. I'd love to give this a try - I've been wanting a one-piece for a while but I'm unwilling to pull the trigger on a custom.

Oh, and any plans to offer the mesh V1 in hi-viz? It's awesome that you offer the orange in the textile!

As soon as one of you folks who bought the V2 Lombard gets it out in a good, hard, cats + dogs dumping rain,
please let us know how the suit does.

Agreed. With honesty. I still think a lot of 'stich owners just say they're bone dry to help stave all of the pain of the $800. I was disappointed in how leaky mine was.  Sad

I wonder how much riding style and bike style play into this.  Mine hasn't leaked except for when I leave vents open.  But then I sit right up against the tank which keeps my goodies pretty much squished there.  I also have a built in awning that prevents that area from getting direct rain.  Between that and taller Givi windscreens on all our bikes, my crotch just doesn't get a lot of direct rain.  I'm kinda glad given the number of people who complain about it.   Headscratch

Mine only leaked twice in over 50K miles - and in the PNW, you know damn well that those were some wet miles  Embarassment
