Motus Motorcycles?

First I've ever heard about them.

Maybe an April Fool's joke?

We'll have to wait and see if this is just an elaborate hoax.  They do have a web site.  http://www.motusmotorcycles.com/

Another American sport-tourer would be awesome.  This definitely has my attention.

A bit of googling found - http://www.linkedin.com/in/bcase - Brian Case, Design Director at MOTUS Motorcycles, who is also Chief Designer at Confederate Motorcycles.

No matter what you think about Confederate Moto as a biz, they have some bitchin looking bikes and designs.

Every other start up has targeted the lucrative cruiser crowd (i.e. Victory, Henderson (RIP) & Indian)

I can't understand the business accumen of someone targeting the miniscule sport touring crowd.

Skepticism here.  Makes me wonder how sales of the Fischer MRX are going.

Thanks for your interest guys, keep checking http://www.motusmotorcycles.com for updates. We are currently designing the engine and we hope to release details soon. This is no crazy science project. We're just making an affordable bike with proven technology and a kick-ass engine. We're going against the odds though, especially in America, so we need your support!!

Kind regards,
Brian

Fixed your link.  Can't wait to see what you have in store, Brian.  It's great to have you on board.

I saw the Confederate display at the NYC Auto Show on Tuesday - I should have asked about them about the Motus project.  Wink

Give it a comfortable riding position, 125+ RWHP and 75+/- Ft Pnds of Torque, descent brakes (Monoblock) an adequate (adjustable) suspension designed with the typical sport touring rider in mind (225+ Pounds). Comfortable seat, distinctive looks (Not Generic), hard luggage options and an authoritive exhaust note all for around 13K or less, and I would say you have a winner and a customer.

I think he mentioned in another thread that the price would be between 15 & 20 K.

I imagine it's hard for a small company to match the large volume factories in price.

Moto Guzzi is an immense international conglomerate that flies below the radar not unlike Spectre.

They have divisions you haven't even heard about.

Although, I am not at liberty to say, Moto Guzzi drones may or may not be knocking out Taliban positions as we speak.

True, look at the size of their board of directors at a meeting in downtown Mandello. The membership of the board was so secret, they had no idea how big it was and thus had to take it outside where there was more room.  Only problem, it was not conducive to unified discussions so they ended up in smaller 'focus' groups. Mainly talking about soccer.

Even with God on the side of Guzzi, there still seemed to be a problem with one of their drones..
