I just don't like engine design. Smile

Nothing wrong with an opinion.

Confusing it with fact generally isn't so good, though ;-}

Me, I'm rooting for these guys, BIG TIME!

I hope the exhaust gets more refinement before production.

Bike sounds good, but the pipes aren't very pleasing to the eye.

I dunno, maybe a slight reroute, different radius bends, polish the stainless, something else?  Headscratch

I never really see the exhaust when I'm riding. Shrug

Oh, well in that case, your new bike has arrived:

Just keep riding, and you'll never have to look at it!  Lol

The exhaust isn't the worst thing about the design by a long shot.  I'm hoping it sells though, so they can eventually make it affordable  Lol

What fact did I confuse?  And pretty much everything we state here is an opinion and should be read as such.

And why are you rooting for them "BIG TIME"?

What is that thing directly in front of the riders right foot? That seems limiting.

Dies the rear shock have a link?  If so why?  I would design that out.

Why are the bars so wide?

Is there a bigger windscreen?

Yes lots of questions that come from my riding experience.

Actually they are design defect concerns in my opinion

1. That cover looks to get in the way of people with larger feet. Just like the centerstand on the   Except you can't just cut the stand to fix it.

2. The wide bars and small windscreen causes aero issues at freeway speeds.  Something I'm really noticing on the Multistrada.  You don't need wide bars to handle a heavy bike.  Also the passenger seat is too small to consider long distance two up work.

3.  I understand the use of linkages.  The problem is generally they are designed with a non linear force curve making it hard to get the rear shock to perform correctly. My Multi uses no linkage and a linear spring so it's action is the same throughout the movement range.  Linkages also bring more complexity to the rear end.  Im also curious if they designed the shock dimensions to be compatible with another popular bike because then the aftermarket will exist for it.

That's BMW territory.

I'll be surprised if a start up firm gets that low of a price right out of the gate but, I'm rooting for them  Bigok

+1.  That the principles are spending hours and hours piloting these things and racking up a boat load of real world miles I think bodes well for the end product.   Too bad I won't be able to afford it.   Sad  This bike is just different enough in some seriously cool and unique ways, if not entirely original ways.  My '82 Maxim 750 also had adjustable handle bars.

There's an FAQ on the front page of the website now.

http://www.motusmotorcycles.com/

Pricing to come in late 2011 now... and there will be an MST and an MST-R, both will have options available.  I didn't know ANY of that.

Reviving an old thread about these guys because I have not heard anything in a while.

Went to their site and it appears they will have, or already have a dealer network in existing dealerships and the bikes will be released mid - late 2012.  No mention that I could find in a quick search of the site that mentions what dealers are on board and no price announced that I could find.

So.... anyone's google-fu better than mine?

last I heard the prices were going to be in line with the higher end Harleys and BMWs. I believe that equates to the high $20s.

havent heard anything about dealer locations.

I'm guessing that "release" actually means official launch, and that actual sales to the public may not be until 2013.

I just pulled that out of my butt  Bigsmile

Hopefully, the price will be more in the ballpark of a K1600GT rather than a Confederate motorcycle.
