Took the Starcom and GPS off the FJR. First steps in the for sale process. Thinking of pulling off the HIDs but think I will let them go with the bike.

Played around with how to set up the Starcom & GPS on the Adventure. Still up in the air on that one.

Gave up and took the 1100GS for a ride

Update:

Installed the Starcom & GPS & I-Pod on the Adventure today.
Made a phone call from the bike while in the garage, Back up and running  Bigsmile

Loaded the two Triumphs on a trailer and brought them home.

Spent a long weekend at the Alisal Guest Ranch with them.  Awesome riding.   Bigok

Removed final drive on the Adventure , lubed splines & reassembled.

Changed the oil & filter,

Flushed the brake fluid. I got the special tool for doing this (looks like a long thin funnel, special for servo brakes on the BMW) Fluid did not look bad but heck the bike is new to me so why not Bigok

Did all this after I got off work today (went in to cover the shift so my assistant could have the day off with his wife, valentines day and all)

Think I am going to take the next 2 days off and head up the coast...    Fortuna???

Reinstalled the rear wheel after having a new tire installed (nice chuck of metal in the last one).  Hoping to take it for a test ride tomorrow sometime.

well i didn't do anything today persay, but yesterday my battery came in so i will probably pick that up tomorrow and put the airbox and gas tank on then see if it is just a batter issue, and hopefully not a wiring issue i was trying to trace.

Mounted a new Pirelli Scorpion Sync by the old school tire iron way. Then balanced it by the old school axle through the wheel on jackstands way.

Nice and bright, nice focus and cut off. Lights up the road quite well but not blinding to others on the road Thumbsup

Installed an oil cooler on the 696.  Several sources suggested it would be a good thing before taking the bike to the track.

I had a big weekend. Yesterday I mounted and balanced my new Road Attacks and changed the rear brake pads.

Today I installed Hella Supertone Hi/Lo horns using the wiring harness I got from Eastern Beaver.  Thumbsup

I've never done any of my own maintenance  before, the good people on this site have been extremely helpful and I never would have had the confidence to try this stuff without the advice and encouragement I've gotten, plus the wealth of information just from reading through different posts.

I took the bike out for a quick shakedown to make sure nothing was going to fall off/explode and everything worked great.

Thanks everybody!

I spent the best riding day of the year so far up at Rich's Custom getting a little work done.

It will be a few thousand miles to get it broken in, but the 20+ miles home were just fine. And my feet get a little closer to the ground. :clap
