I replaced the stock shock with a ZX10 shock on the SV. Tonight is the spring swap in the front and then we test.

Rode it to work. Rode home in 37° rain. Decided that it's time to buy a one piece suit for commuting.

Road the Adventure to work, and scrubbed the FJR clean when I got home. I even pulled the windshield off of the FJR and buffed & waxed it, looks might purity now Been planning on selling off the FJR, 7 bikes are to much for my garage. The wife came down to the garage and remarked on how clean the FJR looked and how she "would understand if I wanted to keep it" I would like to keep it but the truth is that I just don't ride it anymore, getting to like the GSs more every ride

I stopped by the storage hut and uncovered the bird and the kid's 600rr long enough to take some measurements in support of trailer ideas and luggage acquisitions. Then I sighed and covered them back up. It's going to be a while yet here before we ride.

I rode it! It was about 45F today so I put about 45 miles on the ktm today. Only a little commuting, but I was happy to ride at all.

Put the reupholstered seat back together, drilled for and mounted the switch for the heated grips. Positioned the new power distribution block.
Unpacked my new MRA variotour wind screen. Took delivery of a set of PR2s. (260.00 for the set - delivered).

Sunday I pulled the plugs covering the idle jet screws on the Magna. I backed the screws an extra 1.5 turns. Then I synced the carbs. What a PITA on a V-4. I needed all kinds of light just to see the little adjustment screws, never mind get a wrench on them. It was the first time I did anything except fluids and plugs to that old beater in twenty years. Starts and runs much better now! BTW, I put aluminum window screening over the air intakes of my vehicles to keep mice from building their nests in my air cleaners.

Changed the oil, put fresh tires on and replaced a missing rear wheel spacer on the '95 900ss ducati. Also changed the oil on the Triumph Thruxton.

Found a (leaky) tire plug in the new bike... replaced it. Ordered a new tire. Old one tons of tread... but I guess I gotta bit the bullet. Tried to chase down some rattling noise... found a massively embarrassing tool (oil filter wrench) between the engine and skidplate! I'm a moron... I don't know if that fixed the problem or not... the muffler seems like a loose fit onto the pipe, so we'll see. Had to zip tie the muffler to the luggage bracket to keep it from rattling as it rests on there, but is a bit loose. Up next today is a dive into the garage to see if I can make a baffle for the muffler. The Two Bro's muffler is way too loud and has no back pressure. Maybe I can make a bracket for the muffler so I can remove the zip tie. Always somethin, huh?
