Road the Adventure to work, and scrubbed the FJR clean when I got home.

I even pulled the windshield off of the FJR and buffed & waxed it, looks might purity now Inlove

Been planning on selling off the FJR, 7 bikes are to much for my garage.
The wife came down to the garage and remarked on how clean the FJR looked and how she "would understand if I wanted to keep it"
I would like to keep it but the truth is that I just don't ride it anymore, getting to like the GSs more every ride Bigsmile

Wait... THE GS? As in Old Yeller? If so, I sure liked it.

Today I pulled the aux fuel cell of the Iron Butt Rally RE5 and put a couple of ads up on Craigslist. Need a new rifle, and that's motivating me to finally get to selling the RE5s. I also checked to see if that fuel cell would fit on the FJR and/or the KLR. With that fuel cell, the KLR would go waaay farther than I could stand to go nonstop on it...

I put sonic springs and changed the fork oil in the SV this weekend. I installed a ZX10 rear shock last week. I got ready to take it out for a test run and the battery was too low.  Crazy It has been over a month since I last went out so I had to borrow a charger to get going.

It was in the low 50's and felt good to be out. I definitely like the new setup. Much better than stock but still need to get it dialed in.  Thumbsup

New springs in the fork and on the shock. Found a leaky water pump and possibly a leaky counter shaft.  Sad

Put the stock pipes back on a rode it to work. I had bought myself some D&D's for Xmas but after 2 months and 2k miles the cool wore off and they were just loud. They helped the performance a little but I just prefer making less noise so I'm back to stock.

I got my Gen Mar risers installed.  Took less than 20 minutes start to finish.  Had to make some minor adjustments to the brake lever to get it to clear the fairing at left lockout or it would have been more like 10 minutes.  Took a ride and WOW what a difference 3/4" makes...

Finished up the FJR
Replaced all of the dash lights (tach has been out for over a year)
Finished up the polish and shine
     Ready for sale
04 FJR -lots of extras- for sale

Put a Ztechnik SS exhaust on the BMW adventure, road it around the block, then took it off. I like a quiet bike ant the Ztechnik was not that.
Gutted the Cat, not the neighbors cat -my son likes that cat-, Cleaned out the cat on the Adventure then welded it back together. Will reinstall it tomorrow.

Maybe I wil even get to go for a ride tomorrow  Rolleyes

I'd like to ride again today, but it appears I'll need mother nature to provide more than a couple of days with temps above the freezing mark.  Some of my favorite roads were still impassable* yesterday.  I came across several sections of packed snow on the roads.  On the packed snow sections, I kept a steady throttle hand and kept the bike pointed straight.  However, some roads weren't worth taking the risk of continuing.     Sad  Crazy

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c132/doog71/Motorcycle%20Rides/2010/03-06-10/DSCN2119.jpg

* Impassable meaning there's no way I'm going to try passing them in their current condition (e.g. image above).

I did discover a small fluid leak coming from the bike when I arrived home yesterday.  I plan on taking a closer look at it today.
