Rode it. I've been riding it all week after fixing the regulator (well, replacing it actually).

I'll be taking a nice trip tomorrow assuming I get my stuff done in time.

Last week I rode it to work on Friday and it rained buckets all day.

SO

Today I rode in put the cover on it (weather schmuck predicted rain all day),

Not a freakin drop until I got out at 6!!

Rode home in the rain.

I still enjoyed it.

Tomorrow after work Im taking the wind screen off and puttin foam on the tabs to quell the buzzzzzz.

Took off carbs, checked for blockage
reinstalled carbs
new spark plugs
charged battery
starting fluid, lots of it in the airbox

Previously:
emptied and cleaned out tank
changed fuel filter

Mofo still won't start.  I think the tank is turning the gas bad (ran, then it sat in the garage for several days while it was raining) and the situation was made worse by a tank full of bad gas I got somewhere in KY so new tank and petcock tomorrow (along with another new fuel filter).  Sad

Have you seen spark - done the whole take-a-plug-out-and-grounded-it-to-the-motor-then-cranked-it-lookin-for-a-fat-blue-spark thing?

Only I will remain.

Yup.  I am pretty sure the tank is the problem.  Going to try it with the new one and new gas and change out the fuel filter too.

Put in a brand new Exide battery.  I got 6! years to the month out of the original Yuasa.  While I was doing that I hard wired the Zumo 450 so now I can charge it while I ride instead of charging it before I go out and hoping it lasts all day.  Wasn't as good as going for a long ride, but at least a productive day.

After 20 hard stops from 150mph I boiled my brake fluid and the lever went to grip... without front brakes I
limped home with just the rear... mercy that could have been the end of Mr.RC45...

What did you do to your bike today

I de-mummified my GL1800.  Finally replaced the trunk/saddlebag latches with the updated version I'd bought last year to cure the left saddlebag sticking problem.  Changed the oil.   Bled and refilled the front & rear brakes, which is a certified PITA to do with the Wing's linked braking system.   Replaced the stock brake bleeder screws with speed bleeders - managed to break one off as I was tightening it down, which precipitated a trip to Sears for a bolt out kit and a delightful extra hour of work.   Crazy

Actually rode it in to work this morning.  Odd getting reacquainted with the lumbering beast.
