VFR:

Drilled out a new 1999 R1 Reg/Rect unit's mounting hole, shaved off some cooling fins, cut off the stud for the VFR's old R/R unit, mounted up the R1 R/R to where the old VFR's one was, bolted it in place, cleaned misc. electrical contacts around the bike, makeshift-repaired the starter relay plug which had fried itself, and did voltage checks...

Wiped off the grunge and bug guts from last weekend's ride to Stanley. Hot water and a towel for a quick cleanup.

Waxed the tank. I need a new tank protector or, better yet, some stomp grips or the techspec grip pads.

Cleaned and lubed my chain, which is approaching its end of usable life. Already have new chain/sprockets, bu want to get all I can out of this one.

Damn, that's one pretty yellow VFR. Lol

Adjusted valves, synched TB's, changed fluids: easy and relaxing.  Inlove

Had those for a little over a year now.  Wouldn't go back to stock calipers for anything.

I am letting it sit in the garage all weekend. Studying for a test for work. I haven't studied for this kind of test in years.  Crazy

The only riding I am doing lately is to and from work and construction sites.

Washed it. After riding home from work Thursday in a duck drowning thunderstorm and going through 2 construction areas with mud running across the road it kind of looked like a dirt bike. No one would even park next to It Friday. Bigsmile Well at least it got it yearly bath out of the way.  EEK!

Yesterday I went on a 90-mile dual sport ride (50 paved, 40 dirt) so today it's clean and oil the chain.

Relubed the chain after riding in the rain Saturday. Put in the anti carb icing nonsense again. 30's by the lake in the am, lower inland. Hey I'm happy, no snow.

I installed hookups for heated gear and a battery tender.  Ran the wiring for the GPS and put some RAM mounts on the handlebars for the  GPS and my camera.  That way I can shoot videos through the windscreen.  Drilled the side stand for bolts to secure a hockey puck to the base of the side stand -- to help the bike lean a little less when on the side stand.  Then I went for a ride.

Do you know what Milk looks like after baking for 60 miles on your muffler. Do you know how bad your gear smells after being dowsed with milk and left in your bag in the sun all day? do you know how hard it is to clean baked on milk off the muffler and pipe? My tail bag, a modified back pack, strapped to the tail of my F4i is toast. Or should I say toast and milk!
Do you know that this is the second time that this dumb ass has done this. A whole quart both times. My bike was soaked from the tank back. I was sitting in milk all the way to work. My ass was cold, it was only 28 degrees in Ann arbor this morning.

I washed my bike today, yep thats what I did to my bike today.
