Yikes! Maybe you need a brighter color bike?  Bigsmile

Are you OK?

I'm fine. The angle we were both at must have been just right since neither of us actually struck the other rider. The sudden stop and hitting the bars with my gut hurt, but other than that it was just plastic damage (I think, I'll have to look the bike over good in the morning before I go riding).

Took the

Took my wife for a ride, which was cool because she NEVER wants to go riding with me.

Very cool!  I'm trying to bring the wife around too.  She road on the back of the scooter we rented in Bermuda on our recent vacation, so we'll see.

-----

Wife had to work today so I went out for a 38.1 mile run.  First stop was a hearty breakfast at Letterman's Diner in Kutztown, PA:

(Not my pic)

The diner is a breakfast and lunch place about 12' wide by 40' deep.  Four two-person tables and a long counter running down the middle of the restaurant.  They cook the food right in front of you and the portions are big enough that I didn't eat lunch today.

Rode around some back roads, stopped by a Triumph at the edge of a driveway that I had passed last week.  Turns out there is a for sale sign, a 2006 Triumph Tiger 955 (with factory panniers) with 5900 miles for $7,000 firm.

Swung by my parent's house visited them for a while.  Then off for more back roads.  Here is a pic:

http://i44.tinypic.com/1zyamwn.jpg

Not bad, right?  Late Spring day...

Here is the overall shot:

Those clouds got darker and I ended up riding for the first time in the rain (and without my rain gear).  As the drops started coming down, I got on the highway (vs. the back roads I was exploring) and booked it home.  The wind kicked up and it was interesting...

Yesterday I rode the XT (ZED was on his WRX) out on a few errands & then changed both tires to something more street oriented (I plan to take it on the Motard track next week) & played some more with the preload on the front springs.

Today we rode the Ducatis to Canmore for lunch (275km round trip), getting home just before a short rain.  It was VERY windy with funnel clouds...

When we got home we pulled the seat cowl, front cowl & fuel tank off my Monster in preparation for painting it purple Cool.

The KLR only got a pat or two in passing.  Must get to checking for a possibly partially clogged fuel tank vent & then ride it some more.

Thursday however, I rode a bit then into the shed for a detailed chain maintenance, you know the whole kerosene with a toothbrush thing then a full wash and polish until it shined!!!!!!!
http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/ww311/JOHN1COOK2/IMG00213.jpg

The very next day, I rode to the big steel box for my 3 day sentence where I watched it get rained on ALL day.

Replaced the cam inspection covers with fresh new shiny ones.

Starting rough, so I took out the plugs and one needed to be regapped. Apparently the gap shrunk on one from .8mm to .3mm - what causes that? I thought as a plug wore the gap widened.

Starts strong now.

Waxed it, cleaned the brake dust out of the front wheel and put a quick 120 miles on it, refueled and took it to the storage garage.

Waxed it...

Though I never heard why, I've heard a lot of people say that you should never wax motorcycles/scooters.

I do know that my scooter has more nooks & crannies than a Thomas' English Muffin (takes forever to dry by hand).
