What did you do to your bike today

Rode it.  It goes in for a Holeshot jet kit / timining advancer tommorow.  Yes, I could do this myself, but Speedwerks can do it faster and probably better.

i rode my kawasaki then changed the oil and filter,checked chain adjustment ,cleaned and lubed the chain and all pivot points,I also made riding promises to the Triumph as she has been neglected lately(poor girl)

i rode it AND i saw another RC51 on the road, he flipped a U-Turn and followed me so we stopped. It was really cool seeing another one on the road!

So did you ever get to the Royal Enfields?  I keep jonesing for one of the new Military Bullets.

The cupboards at C&L Cycles in Eldersburg were bare.  Though they're still listed on the Enfield website as a dealer, there were none on the floor and a woman I talked to there stated that they were most likely not going to order any - apparently because RE wants dealerships' service techs to get training on the updated FI models.

I put a set (four pads) of EBC Extreme Performance Brake Pads on the front. Cleaned up the right brake specially as it got fork oil all over it so was rather grungy.

I replaced the rear sprocket with a SuperSprox Stealth Rear Sprocket. Kind of interesting looking

I also replaced the rear chain with a red EK 530ZVX chain (112 links rather than the 111 or 110 that the guys in Kamloops put on).

I bought a set of rear pads but once I got the brake off, I could see the pads still had lots of life left in them.

Here's the chain and sprocket after a short 50 mile ride to make sure everything was working correctly.

(1) Changed the oil.  

(2) Replaced another throttle locking product with a Throttlemeister, which actually works.

(3) Determined that my PC-8 fuse block needs more than an 18" lead given that there really is no room to mount it near the battery.

(4) And slabbing at someone else's pace all the way to Key West and back last month finally convinced me I should at least try the Genmar bar risers I've had sitting around for nearly 2 years.  My Concours 14 riding friend pronounced that he "could actually ride this [the Trumpet] now."

(5) Rode around a bit until I was forced to take shelter from the urban heat in a Starbucks.

Waxed my newly purple Monster.    ZED painted it for me on Tuesday & we got it back together yesterday.  Silver was just a little too blah for me.  Waxing bikes is pretty uncommon around here, but the new paint job deserved it.

I also adjusted the chain on my KLR & disassembled & reassembled the gas cap vents.  Hopefully in the process I got rid of some unseen bit of something that may have caused a partial clog - the bike had started having the occasional slight hesitation at steady throttle.

Then after pushing my XT from the front lawn, down the sidewalk & into the rear garage (didn't want to warm the engine/valves up any) I checked the valves for the second time since the rebuild & adjusted the intake by 0.0005".  After pulling off the bottom of the float bowl to check the size of the main jet, we discovered that the jet is identical to that of a Solex 34 pict 3 from an old VW & that we had the next size up in the cupboard.  Also adjusted the air mixture screw.  With any luck the b*tchy little bike will run even better now (it has been much happier since it's head rebuild/cam replacement as it is).

Yesterday - Picked it up from Speedwerks (Dover DE) after they installed a Holeshot jet kit / timining advance and modded the air box.  WOW! much smoother and pulls very nicely!

Today - Changed the oil.
