Are we agreed that, all things considered, the Palisades restaurant is a go for dinner?

BTW, is there anyone in charge of this STN meet, making decisions, or is it group general agreement?

The only thing I am in charge of at this point is the shirt, its going to be linked in the next week or so for ordering,Dinner, sorry but not at this point,I am working both a part time and my regular job(temporary recall). If anyone wants to step up have at it.If I knew they weren"t having a layoff next month I'd quit the PT job ,but can't right now  So I really don't have  a whole lot of time to do stuff over the phone as far as setting up a dinner.

I happy to make the final contact at the Palisades and to keep in touch with them.

But I need to now if the Palisades is the choice.

I think from the replies in the other thread, Palisades is exactly the right kind of place.  Thumbsup

You have my authorization to initiate contact.  Bigsmile

Palisades was the overwhelming winner in the other thread.

CODan - if you could "officially" take this on I know that many people would appreciate it. Its nice to know that there really is someone doing the work rather than assuming that its getting done. So - are you game?  Bigsmile

OK.

I'll handle the restaurant, which is no big deal.

I'll drop by again, tell them to expect us.

When we have a 'firm' number I'll get that to them and I'll update them if it changes significantly.

Happy to help.

Now if someone could just teach me how to ride...

Wunderbar!

I'm sure there'll be plenty of people willing to "teach" you how to ride at the national. It's very important that you do not listen to any of them.  Lol

I don't know that we'll have a firm number, since people just show up.  From the "who's going" thread, as of now I would guess we might have anywhere from 40 to 60 people.  How many can that room at Palisades accomodate?  Do they need a deposit, or are we good to go?  This is for dinner on Tuesday 6/16.

Wednesday people are on their own.

I dropped by there 3 days ago, just to remind them. I've told them 50-60.

I'll drop by again a couple of days before also.

They don't need a deposit. We'll have most to all of the main dining room. But if the weather is good we might want to sit out on the deck.

Do we want to specify a time or range of times? How about saying that we expect most to arrive at approximately 7?

If you think it appropriate I can arrange for a 'Safe Ride' home for anyone that has a bit to much to drink. That would probably be my truck and some kid I hire for a couple of hours.

People will probably start trickling in between 6 and 7.  We don't really all need to show up at exactly the same time  - they can't make food that fast anyway.

I think we'll be fine without it, but I appreciate the offer  Thumbsup  Nobody here is stupid enough to drink and ride.  I'm planning on just walking, it's less than a mile.  People who want to drink can walk.
