Hey Everyone,

Not a very avid poster but needed to help from the experts on touring equipment, so to speak.  I recently ordered and installed a Corbin Gunfighter & Lady seat for my '01 FZ-1 in an attempt to increase the riding distance and reduce the pain, but also to get the optional backrest for the little women.  However, after installation, my seat is about 2 or 3 inches higher.  I know the seat will break in slightly but since it lifted my butt up in the air, it screwed up my riding position in that I am now leaning forward more, this is putting more stress on my shoulder which is junk do to a separation a few years back.  So, essentially, I am looking for 1, perhaps 2, items.  I believe the bike already has risers installed (I bought it used so not sure what the factory set-up was), but I have seen risers that go up, and at the same time back.  There is also the possibility of getting a new bar that has a larger "U" so the ends are higher.

The question/help: Can anyone recommend products, parts, etc to help me with this problem?

Thanks everyone!

SWMotech makes handlebar risers that go up & back.

Depending on the changes, you may need a longer brake line.

Thanks for the link Scratch.  I had seen those.  I contacted Helibars in Maine and they are re-working the FZ-1 risers and they should be ready in about a month.  So i'll see how that goes.

On a separate but kinda related note: I was on the Twisted Throttle website checking out their events and they are having an open house on May 23rd and I saw the location: Peacedale RI!  I live less than an hour from there!  Whoo hoo!  I'm use to all these bike websites being west coast based.  Looks like i have a destination for a ride that day!

Well I ended up going to the TwistedThrottle 1" riser, 1" back set that Scratch provided the link for.  Helibars first indicated a month for the re-worked FZ-1 risers.  A month later I emailed for status and was told they couldn't predict when they would be done (or if even in manufacturing).  So rather than waste time, i forged ahead.

They worked like a freakin charm.  Just what i needed to lift me up a bit and take some pressure off my bum shoulder.   Bigok to Twisted Throttle; had the parts in 2 days!
