vented summer gloves

I haven't tried those, but as a general rule, I love Roadgear's gloves.

I picked them up at their booth at the IMS show 2 years ago which saved some money on the web price.  Always something tempting at that booth.  This year a sweet young girl there tried to sell me a $20 pair of socks.  I passed, but their gloves are excellent and a good value.

OK - these aren't vented and they don't have armor. On the other hand, I have about 50k miles on mine, and I swear by them. Deerskin, not too hot in the summer, and they can be washed when needed. They are simply the best gloves I've ever owned.

Thank You very much for the link to roadgear. These are exactly what I'm looking for. Now, does the sizing run the same as Held gloves? I have a pair of Steves, and a pair of Icebreakers both in size 9L. They were both a little snug when new, but after broken in, they are a perfect fit.

I have never worn Held gloves so I cannot say for sure.  I have size L gloves in Joe Rocket, Alpinestars, Marsee, and Roadgear that all just fit me just fine.  I had a pair of Cortech short gloves very similar to the Roadgears that were so snug I lost feeling in my hand.  I can never wear XL because the fingers are then too long for me.

Alpinestars Octane-S gloves or the Alpinestars GPX gloves.  I have both and they both flow air, have armor and are non-gauntlet gloves.  Safety wise, the GPX is a better glove but the Octane is more comfortable.  I haven't fully broken in the GPX gloves yet but they seem to run a hair on the small side.

I wear Joe Rocket Phoenix gloves.  They are very comfortable and well vented on the backs and between the fingers.  Leather palms with some padding for comfort and grip.

I have the BMW GS vented gloves. they flow lots of air and have this leather covered knuckle guard that will no doubt protect the back of the hand. Great gloves to have on if you ever have to punch out the window of a cage or knock off the mirror while driving by.

I was luckily wearing mine in Moab when I went down quickly and got the handlebar on top of knuckle with rock underneath. Hurt like hell but due to the protection, nothing got broken.  A bit expensive but great gloves.

+1 on the RoadGear.  I got mine based on the webbikeworld review.  I've had them for a couple weeks and really like them.  Main feature I like over others is the extend cuff on the bottom/palm side.  It's been over 100 here the last few days and no problem with hot/sweaty hands (my commute is short though).

Sizing was spot on using the guide on roadgear's site.  I measure 9 1/2" - 10" around the palm depending on how tight I pulled the tape and the XL's fit perfect.
