Back in the UK

I'm now back in the UK for the summer at least, permanently if plans work out as I am hoping. One problem though, I haven't got a bike to ride!
I hope to get that situation sorted asap of course, just as soon as I get the funds freed up. I've already started looking on Ebay just in case a bargain Guzzi or similar should come up. The long range forecast is for a good summer, let's hope they're right!

Welcome! The forecasters are predicting a long, hot summer after the last two were washouts. Happy riding.

Sadly, as the Triumph is still playing up, my Guzzi V1000 is for sale...

No it's not.
You created a poll a while back.
We agreed the Guzzi would stay.

Yes we did......
.....but the Guzzi works beautifully and the Thunderbird doesn't-ie, one is fit for sale and one isn't.

ST.N polls are irrevocable.
You can't just go around creating polls willy-nilly like, then disregard them

Yeah, don't listen to Orson the 'merkin! You know the Guzzi would be going to a good home. I've had three Guzzis (850T, Le Mans Mk2, Spada Mk2) and I'm suffering from Guzzi withdrawal symptoms.

well, I guess selling to another ST.Ner would be keeping it in the family.
I reckon we could look the other way and let the rules slide.

I dunno how much longer
The doctor is recommending hip replacement surgery, since the bone growth doesn't seem to be happening.
He says that I should be able to walk shortly after the surgery.
I can only hope.

Bummer.
+1
On the other hand, I have heard that a new hip sometimes works a lot better than the old one. I think it will take a lot more than a mere hip replacement to keep Team Orson off the road!
Anyway, get well soon, the mighty Guzzi needs to be ridden!
