Concours 14 and Reliability

A quick question for the Concours 14 owners besides it being a huge mount is the reliability an issue. I ask because I have been told there are some issues with KIPASS, and warping of rotors.

None so far. Only have a little over 2K on my 09 Diablo Black bought in Sept 08. :thumbsup:

There have been issues with KIPASS and rotor warping...which have been fixed under warranty. Of course, if the KIPASS goes out when you are on a trip you are kind of screwed. If you want the bike then buy it, all totally new bikes have some issues and the C14 isn't any worse than the others...and it has a 3 year warranty.

Issues with the KIPASS have been pretty well documented over at www.concours.org Do a search over there, and you'll find plenty. Personally I had one day I had an issue. Lubed the lock cylinder, and haven't had an issue since. I have not had any issues with warping rotors. Have a little over 6k miles since Aug 08.

I did have an issue with the key that was thought to be a Kipass problem, it is not the Kipass it is a plunger on the ignition switch. It was fixed at the dealer and there have been no problems. as already talked about all bikes will have problems and the C14 will have problems as well. Is it reliable? yes, do I like it? yes
