I'm lookin at Google maps and can't really find any signifigant sideroads marked. Google Earth shows the Nickleplate that I can follow to Apex. Can I get from Apex to Summerland on the same type of drive?

The Nickleplate road becomes Green Mountain Rd and takes you from Apex Alpine ski resort down to Penticton. The Princeton-Summerland Rd leaves Princeton just north of town right near the Old Hedley Rd and follows the KVR all the way to Summerland.
Google maps is your best bet for the Princeton-Summerland. There are no online maps that show the Nickleplate more than a few kilometers. It is easy to find your way though.

Took a run with Dr. Zorko up the Idaho Peak above Sandon earlier this week. The lookout is at 2300 meters so was looking forward to the views. Alas the weather was crap with mist, fog and rain. About 2 km from the parking lot at the top, we hit snow that made it impossible to ride further. Be trying this ride in another few weeks.
Easy road really with some steep dropoffs etc but fun.

Do we need to throw in the snow shoes?
