We don't need no steenking "Running with the Bulls", we have:

Running with the Sheep?

The sheep are Running with the Dual Sports?

West Virginia: Where men are lonely and the sheep are scared?

BTW, we don't have any "Running with Bambi" photos, but R Doug started the day by chasing a fawn a good long ways up Spruce Knob. Stupid thing just kept running up the road. Wish I had video of him trying to smack it on the ass...

The KLX is basically a DRZ400 in Kawi green isn't it? The DRZ forum over at ThumperTalk.com is THE place for info on the DRZ/KLX...

Yep, a KLX400 is a DRZ sold during the short lived Kawi/Zuk marriage.

Most people put a manual CCT in there. Can't say I recall hearing about the head being an issue. There ARE a number of internal bolts you need to re-torque with red Loctite to prevent them from ruining your engine. Search for "Loctite fix". There are the usual protective bits to add (skid plate, bark busters, engine covers, rad covers). Then come performance bits (FCR39 carb, open up airbox, full Yosh or SSD exhaust). All this stuff is covered in gory detail on ThumperTalk...

it has a pipe, no air box lid, uni filter and jet kit. It came from the sand dunes of Ca. I just ordered some turn signals and a switch. I have one brand new rear tire now I need a front. It has a bad stumble if you crack the throttle hard the pump is working good but looks to be slow on responce.

That video was staged.  It was my second crossing of that puddle.  The first time caught me off guard, but I did keep the bike up.

Enter the "Blackwater 400": 400 miles of dual-sport riding over two days (Sept 26/27) from the Laurel Highlands of PA down to Blackwater Falls state park (and back). Tentative lodging plan is to stay at the Canaan Valley Resort (hotel) rather than camp. Less crap to carry and set up, less weather dependent, restaurant and bar on site. Located 10 miles south of BFSP.

That sounds fantastic Garry (seriously, I'd LOVE to do it), but not on a K1200GT.  Sad

I wish they still held the Blackwater 100 race.   I think it ran from 1973 till 1993.  Back than it was called America's toughest race by lots of ATV riders.

Is there a link with this... or is this something you are putting together?

Duh I see now, you are putting it together cool!  You should start a new thread so we can track it.  I am really going to try and get there this time.
