Anyone up for a little alternate recreation on the 17th?  I think I'm gonna take a day off the bike and play a little golf instead.

This looks like a pretty good course on the west end of town http://www.dosriosgolf.net/

I hope it's nice, my old man built the back 9.  Wink

No room for clubs, and unfortunately, I REALLY suck. There's also a course up near Crested Butte, The Club At Skyland (Yes, it is really that pretentious). But it is nice I hear.

I doubt it, that was 20 years + ago when I was still in school.  Lol

Just looked at their calendar too, you do realize there's a Juniors Tournament on the 17th, right?

The Junior tourney has reserved the tee times until about 3pm.  If the tourney doesn't fill up, they will release any unused times.  So I'm on at 3 (or earlier).  I can ride in the am and golf in the pm, be done around 7 in time for the party.  What's not to like about that?  Bigok

I'm also considering Crested Butte anyway.  It's a Robert Trent Jones course and a 28 mile ride on some good road to get there. Bigsmile

this is by my lousy reckoning a pretty tough course, some of the fairways are pretty narrow and there is a lot of water, especially on the back nine.

Bring lots of extra golf balls, you may need them.

Lots of comedians but no players.  Twofinger  I'm used to playing narrow courses with lots of trees and high rough.  The kind of courses where if you miss the fairway, kiss your ball goodbye.  I usually only lose one ball or less per round.

4hrs? That just might be enough time for me to play the first hole.  Embarassment
