aha..good point about the parking it in Calgary..well I do , or should I say , my wife has relatives in calgary, but then id have to go there, so thats out..I do have some fellow cb collectors that would put it up..will see..I personally think my buddy is gonna be colder gettin it there, so might just as well leave it in mb..will check that idea tho!
Yep its the final version of the "F" series..I have the 81 750, and a 81 and 82 900f., wonderful bikes, just as nice to drive and reliable as my new ones..The 84 1100 is the last one. Only sold here in 84, then replaced by that silly v4 sabre/interceptor thing that never caught on...
Its no old slouch either..will run neck and neck with my 05 vfr...
Its got a better suspension, more hp, etc than my 900... Its the cnd version with the gold wheels and the cast handlebars, has not the us fairing on it..I need to have it!:) next yr I can put collector plates on it out here and drive it all summer for 150$ Then can unload the new one and spend the $$ on trips..My buddy took it to colorado with me last summer, so i know its a good one.
And if I keep getting insulted by Bubba, I will just have to hop on my old bomb and head down there and confront him......soon I hope!!!

Just a thought but you might want to look at going up to Edmonton and taking hwy 16 West and than dropping down South on 5 through Valemont to Kamloops. This is further North but has no high passes and is usually the one route that is open all winter. The one section that can be a little ugly is from Mount Robson to the junction of Hwy 5 and 16. If you get one good day it can be done but have some electrics to keep yourself going and don't be afraid to say no if it looks lousy.

No better time than when we're having the KBB&Bbq. I love those old bombs.

Uhh...Blue River? Seems to me they put a heli-ski operation there for a reason. I'm sure the highway is kept clear (it is a major truck route), but I've driven through some nasty weather on that highway...
Still, the point about the lower elevations is a good one. But I always thought the Crowsnest pass (hwy 3) was the lowest elevation pass through the Rockies (nasty weather in there, too--just ask Mr. Alphabet). The Kootenay Pass (highest paved road in Canada?) is not in the Rockies, and in fact can be bypassed (with a run up DH#1 and a ferry crossing).

I know I have posted this before but there seems to be a need to post it again, this is Kootenay Pass one early April Easter Weekend, back in 84 ????
Liz actually was on the back for this ride from Castlegar to Fernie, suprisingly she still rides with me
PS I know it's a silverwing, we have all done things in our past we are not proud of

Is that a 500 or a 650? At least with a 650 you could hold your head a little higher.

The MIGHTY 650 of course
Funny thing even though it had crappy brakes handled horribly and wasn't real powerful (by today's standards) Liz and I rode all over BC with that bike and never worried about it and thought it was just fine

To be honest, I always liked the Silver Wings. Although I never owned one. Plus I was amazed at the uses Honda found for that engine.

Been there in the past myself and there's no way you can convince me that it's fun. This is the only scenario were a warm dry cager driving by looks good, especially if the cage is a 1/2 ton that could carry your bike.
