I have been getting ready to do a 50CC to go from Camp Lejeune to Camp Pendleton (its a Marine thing, I'm an Idiot) but from where I live I am going to be real close to completing a 3,000 mile ride but wouldn't get credit for it since I haven't done a IBA ride yet.  Well on July 2nd I fixed that problem, I completed an in state Saddlesore 1,000 in Virginia. If anybody followed the course that was done for the Redwing 19 Ride that was done in Virginia this past May, I did a slightly modified version of that route.  I learned a few things that I want to do to my bike before I do the 50CC, I need to do something forsome forward foot pegs so I stretchout during the ride.  I have a BMW R1100RS and after riding about 600 miles I started having some pain in my left knee from keeping my feet tucked slightly behind me while riding.  It's great to have this one behind me but I am really looking forward to the 50CC then visiting some friends and family in California before I take the leisurely three day ride back to Virginia.

congrats on the run. Make sure to take quick breaks before you get sore, you'll last a bit longer - or at least more comfortable longer.

I got all of my documentation sent in yesterday, sickness is right.  I did this run just so I could get credit for the longer SS3000 when I do my 50CC.  My actual route is going to be start from either the Pentagon or Quantico Marine Base ride to Camp Lejeune, NC to start the 50CC and ride to Camp Pendleton, CA.  If I do a SS3000 I am going to need to be a little more careful with my route if I want to keep the Marine Corps Base theme, I might need to include a short run down to San Diego to pad some mileage. I don't want to put too much extra mileage in the middle of the 50CC or need to ride more after I complete the 50CC.  It would be nice to just take some time to celebrate there a Camp Pendleton.  I'm already thinking of other rides to do and try a rally to see if I would like those.

This sickness appears to be a full blown disease already. Crazy

Just be careful on you ss3000. Riding a 1000 miles is one thing, getting up and doing that x3 gets a lot harder as the days and miles tick by.  Beerchug
