You win the prize for the shortest ride report in ST.N history.
I hope it starts snowing again there soon as that seems to give you more to write about.
Oh I see ... you only had 10 days to live and this was right at the 11th hour.

Okay here is a little more
On Saturday July 4th we left on our vaction to tour southern BC. It was warm and sunny on Highway 16 east to Mcbride. After lunch we rode on thur light rain shower between Jasper and Lake Louise on highway 93. We turn west on highway 1 and the sun again began to shine. The next day Sunday July5th was spent in and around Golden. We rode highway 95 between Golden and Radium Hot Springs. We where going to head back into the mountains at Radium but it began to rain so we turned around and went back the same route we came from. Once again it clear once we where out of the moutains. The power went out in the whole valley so when we arrived back in Golden there was only one gas station with a generator that was open. We bought gas and some food from them and returned to the cabin to eat left overs. The power returned about 1030 that night.
On Monday July 6th we woke to RAIN and I mean RAIN. This was a traveling day so rain was not what we wanted. The plan was to go back into Alberta and travel south on the Kananaskis highway but it was raining so HARD we stayed in BC and just went south on highway 95/93 to Kimberley where we had a condo booked at the ski hill for the night. The next day Tuesday July 7th was also a travel day and we awoke to more rain showers. We traveled south to Cranbrook and west on highway 3 until Creston. We then turn north and rode highway 3a (DH#1). Before the ferry at Kootenay bay it started to rain real hard (again). We crossed the lake on the ferry and rode highway 31 (DH60) on to Kaslo where we had a cabin booked for two nights. The next day Wednesday July 8th it was partly cloudy (with only light rain showers) so we took advantage of the weather and rode north from Kaslo on highway 31 (DH 33) until Meadow Creek. On the way back we stopped for lunch at Kaslo. We also stopped at Fletcher Waterfalls to take some pictures. This was the best day weather wise (it still rained) since our second day on vaction.
On Thursday July 9th we pack up and rode west on highway 31a (DH 5) until New Denver. Then south on highway 6 (DH 25). This is where it started to rain (again) until Castlegar then on highway 22 until Trail. We waiting for the black clouds to move with no luck, when it was time to leave it was just starting to rain. We rode north on highway 3b (DH15) until the junction with highway 3 then west (DH58). All afternoon if there was a big black ugly rain cloud anywhere the highway turn us right into it. The last rain we seen was just east of Osoyoos before the highway 3 (DH24) drops into the town. We must have looked funny it was sunny and about 30c in the valley and we where in our Joe Rocket riding gear with our rain gear on top, everyone was in the cut off and bathing suits and we where dressed like it was winter. After getting our rain gear off in Osoyoos we rode to Keremeos where we spent the night.
On Friday July 10th we woke to blue sky and warm sunny weather (finally). We rode west on highway 3 (DH78) to Princeton. Then continued on highway 3 (DH44) to Hope where we had lunch outside because we had not seen any rain. After lunch we rode west on highway one to Langley to spent time with our son Ryan. This day was the best weather so far on the trip. On Saturday morning July 11 with the sun shinning I rode to John Valk BMW, that afternoon I jumped on the bike and went across the new Golden Ears Bridge to highway 7 then rode east to ride DH 76. It takes you into the mountains around Hayward lake and Hatzic Lake returning west on highway 7. This must be the local sport bike road because they where everywhere along that route. And the sun was still shining
The next morning Sunday July 12th we woke up to a big blue sky but the weather was calling for afternoon thunder showers. We stayed with Ryans until lunch. We said our goodbye and depart westward on highway one. We turned northward on highway 99 and rode it (DH 34,28,13,3). DH3 is very rough no way is it rated that high in my mind. We rode northward to the junction with highway 97. We stopped for the night in Clinton. The next morning Monday July 13 was sunny and warm. We rode northward until Willaims Lake where we had lunch, after lunch you could see the clouds building into a GOD DAM thunderstrom (what else is new). We raced home only getting a few showers on us between Quesnel and Prince George.
We where gone 10 days and it rained or had showers for 7 out of the 10 days. The only time it did not rain was Friday Saturday on Sunday it was forcasted but we just got lucky and it miss us. Not what I want for my July holidays. The trip was 3314 kilometers with lots of rain. When the sun came out it was hot.
