I'm just trying to imagine how that WORKS, mechanically.  You've got 4 pistons banging away, they're connected to rods which are connected to a crank... how do you disengage two of them?  Does the thing have TWO cranks?   Headscratch

You hold the exhaust valves open and shut the fuel off on those cylinders

Jesus! Whats with all the hoopla with the "new" VFR? WTF?  Shrug I've ridden the old (750 & 800) bikes and wanted to like the bike but it does absolutely nothing for me. Nothing against you all that love the bike but....... man I don't get it at all. I'm sorry but Honda (if you NEED to buy a Honda) has and does offer some nice bikes right now.

The V4 is likely not going to be a VFR replacement anyway. I think that should be the biggest issue here. Calling it a VFR before it's labeled a VFR and after Honda’s Senior Managing Director Shigeru Takagi said “We know people think this bike is going to be a replacement for the VFR800 and the Blackbird but we do not see this bike as a replacement for anything. We see it as an all-new breed of machine, something very special.” is just pointless.

1. Will it be a heavy pig?
B. Will it cost an arm & a leg?
5. Will it cost two arms and three legs for maintenance?

Hopefully the pics don't do it justice.  IMO, I don't like the styling.  Also, the vfr800 is the perfect mid-sized bike and all that you need.  Why increase displacement?  If you want 2-up touring power and size you have the st1300.  Kinda disappointed in all the manufacturers.  US bikes need to decrease displacement.
