Anyone else riding to watch the start of the IBR on Monday? I'll be headed up there early Monday morning, does anybody here know what time the madness is set to begin?

The parking lot should be seeing plenty of activity by 6am. Parking right here at the Marriott is mostly blocked off for the rally, so I wouldn't plan on pulling into the main hotel parking lot.

There is a great bar near the hotel that's open until midnight.  Come on over Sunday night and let's play a few rounds of beer pong Alex...  Bigok

This should be good.

I can't wait to go to work Monday and start watching the SOPTs.

Great pics - thanks.

Looks like you had great access - are you a volunteer or something?

Wish I was there - but reallly I'm glad I'm sitting on my couch.  Embarassment

Not a volunteer, just a Joe Public coming in off the streets.  I'd like to volunteer in the future though... (I reserve the right to retract that statement  Smile )

I heard there might have been some extra banquet tickets for Joe Public, but after checking with Lisa, the only additional tickets (remaining?) were for previous finishers, which I am not...

Good luck on watching the Spots. All public tracking sites had to either be password protected or shut down per new IBA policy.

Yes - I bet she does well.  If her bike does not blow a final drive (again) I expect her to medal.  Thumbsup

Thanks for posting those photos! I have very, very few of the RE5 from Spartanburg on, as my spare camera (the one not used for bonuses) fell off my bike somewhere near Mississippi.

Happy to share.  Even though there wasn't much going on that day, at least in the parking lot, it was very neat to look at all the bikes.  And it was very nice to meet you over here on the right side of the US.  If you want any higher res pics just let me know.

Looking forward to the write-up!  Wow, what an adventure...
