I'm heading up Sunday. Anyone else interested?

Quote

The fine folks at Works Engineering, Peak Point, MotoGrrl, Rev-It, Zero
motorcycles, etc...... (and, of course, NYCVinMoto) bring you the 2009
celebration of classic motor cycles. August 23th, Brooklyn New York,
10am-6pm FREE to attend, bikes, bands, free BBQ, and drinks!! Can't beat
that.

As you all know the past few years have been a blast and we have had
quite a turn out, you can see some photos in the VinMoto gallery:
http://www.vinmoto.org/gallery/v/VinMoto-Garage/NYCVinMoto/EVENTS/NYC-Events/

Here's the flier and info:
http://peak-point.net/

As usual we are hoping everyone here brings out their bikes and if you have
something special you'd like to show off/ share we will have a separate corral for
unusual and expensive machinery. Please feel free to contact me off list with any
questions or concerns.

Anyway,we are supplying food, drinks, bands, and hopefully one example
of every motorcycle ever made. There will be plenty of vendors in
attendance as well to help you outfit your new look.

Anyone wishing to enter the bike show is encouraged to do so.

Categories are:

* Most Artistic
* Best Race Bike for the Street
* Eurotrash award
* Saved from the Jaws of Death
* Compressed Disc
* Best desecration of Japanese History
* Bailing Wire and Tetanus
* What is That
* People’s Choice

Awards will be giving for _ALL_ categories.

And finally, this will be your chance to win a 70's Triumph Bonneville
in the raffle proceeds of which will help Matchless
bartender Juliet recover from her motorcycle accident. Tickets are $25
each or five for $100.

I was supposed to go riding yesterday but NOAA, the weather channel, everynoe said it was supposed to t-storm pretty heavily... stupid me, when I am ever going to learn  Sad

Anyway, since I didn't go riding, I stopped by Brand X as a consolation... for those that didn't attend, I did a write up here.

I stopped by there early. Maybe about 11:00. Some really cool stuff there. The guy with all those Kawi two-strokes was a nice guy. Does some nice restoration work too. The BMW Monkey was cool. Looks like a lot of fun to ride that. Good atmosphere. I liked it. Although I should have stayed a little longer.

We rode up and arrived around 12, stayed until maybe 1:30. If it wasn't so damn hot and humid I would have stayed longer. There were some very interesting bikes there, and more rolling in when we left. Free beer, free food, and music. We tried to find a soda or some water, but all they had was beer. Lol I guess I need to start drinking.

They had  some cool bikes at the event. Did you ride into the city or stop in Jersey and take the ferry across?
