Yeah, right. Speeding ticket revenue is the principal source of income in Sweetwater County Wyoming.
Never went through that area so I can't comment.

I didn't think I was speeding. He ticketed me for 64 in a 55. Route 24 south of Limon. Asshat.

Your bike doesn't have a speedometer?

Yeah, a big one. You?
We had just come through Kansas, fighting 40 mph winds all day, and I got lazy on the throttle. We wanted to get to the hotel badly and it was just me (and him) on the road.
For the record, I wasn't calling you an asshat, just the LEO. I hope you didn't take it that way.

If we pay up ($196) within 20 days, the points go to 2. Any of you Rocky Mountain veterans have any recommendations?
don't speed. since you admit to it, then pay the fine, eat the points, and move on. why worry about all this after it's a done deal?

Is it coincidence that the last 4 posters complaining about 'speeding revenue grab' are sporting: 2 Hayabusas, 2 Blackbirds, 1 Conk-14, and 2 GTS 1000’s between them?
Things that make you go Hmmm… I *wonder* if there’s any correlation?

LOL. You need a big bike to run at high altitude.
The guy I was riding with had a WeeeStrom. He got a warning for 74 in a 65. The mighty Busa pushed the envelope all the way to 75, which got me the award.
Forty Bucks.
