We have random pics and photo tags, but I thought a thread with pics from our daily rides would be of interest.  One simple rule.

1- Your bike must be in the photo


To start us off two shots from todays tag ride (different site). Someone beat me to teh tag, but it was a nice ride anyway.

Here is a shot of a ride I led for the Christian Sportbike Association ride last Saturday. My bike is the silver c-14 next to the car. There's more bikes that went on the ride than in the photo, I'll post them in the September CSBA ride thread. Thanks for starting this thread, great idea,

Just a choice of the software developer, I'm guessing to keep from bandwidth choking.

If you attach a pic to your message, it uploads to the STN servers and displays a thumbnail, just like you did.  You can edit your message after attaching, and use the [ img ] tags with the STN image site, such as:



If you want to display a full size photo, you use the [ img ] button, which looks like a little picture, then insert a photo address that is offsite at an image hosting place like photobucket, imageshack, your personal webspace, etc.  If you press "quote" button on one of the messages shown, it will display this code that was used, and the image url.  I believe you can also insert html embed code, if that option is available at the site which hosts the photo.

No idea, but for what it is worth; I use Photobucket and paste the IMG code (bottom of the four) right into the text box and it seems to work well.

Thanks for the explanation, Rincewind. I don't understand how this ends up saving space on the STN server because it still has the thumbnail and the full-size image, no? (This is probably better left to another thread.)

No it's not saving any space on the STN servers if you attach the photo.  

Easiest method of offsite image linking is photobucket, then you have an online source of your own to reference.
