Weird price, sounds bogus...
If this is real, a heck of a deal maybe?

I think 1100i Sport is the bike Daniel Kalal has, not a V11.

maybe Daniel can clarify.

In any case, at that price, it must be a non-runner or crashed (or maybe a widow who doesn't know what she has  Bigsmile )

I have noticed in my area (Florida) that many of the questionably low, odd priced bikes on CL are scammers. I just flag them unless there is a phone number.

without using "The Google", I'd guess an 1100i in decent condition would go for somewhere between $4500 & $5000.

I don't think many were made, numbering in the low hundreds (maybe). Again, Daniel would know  Smile

You are right, there weren't many Sports brought in, but that's also true for every other Guzzi model (I don't have a Sport, I have a 4v Daytona).  $4500 would make more sense.  It generally seems that the more-refined V11 Lemans series bikes are easier to sell than the rougher, but more aggresive Sport.

I have a 4v Daytona

shows how much I know  Bigsmile

I thought the 1100i and the Daytona were the same.

The Daytona is an 1100i on steroids?

The Daytona is the result of work by John Wittner (Dr. John) in AMA racing combined with the engine designed by Umberto Todero (who worked on the V8 guzzi of the 50's).  This was the first Guzzi with the Spine frame that went on to be used in the Lemans series (which would include your Tenni).

The Sport came just after the Daytona was introduced.  Guzzi swapped out the rather expensive to build 4-valve engine with the more conventional Guzzi engine as well as some changes to the body work (most visably the tail).

this is the Daytona:
