They will be running their second Unplugged rally next spring. No GPS. No fuel cells. Just maps and stock fuel.
I ran in their first one (it was a 12 hr.), and it was one of the most fun rallies I've ever been a part of. Just a blast.
Rumor has it that the Team Strange Butt Lite 6 will be run as an unplugged rally this summer, but nothing has been firmly announced. I have to think that running a multi-day rally w/o GPS will be a whole new animal for most people.
The biggest struggle for running w/o GPS, is arrival time. You get spoiled knowing approximately when you're going to arrive somewhere. I pushed it very close to the limit on the Unplugged, and a LOT of riders didn't make it back in time.
