Seems all it does is give it a "nice deep tone", and add weight and another piece of metal for exhaust to flow around.

It comes with a large drill...you drill out the main baffle and add the other insert.

If you have Catalytic converters on yours, this will not do a thing except make your FJR sound trashy.

I have heard that most of the back pressure happens at the Cats. Even performance aftermarket exhaust slip on's give you marginal gains on the FJR. (a couple of HP)

Unless you know what you are doing, changing airflow (either at the airbox or exhaust) can actually change the way your bike runs in a worse way.

I put a performance pipe, jet kit, and then an airbox mod on my old Bandit. While it did increase performance at top end (no doubt) and the seller of the kit had actual dyno tests to prove it. It did however, steal all the midrange away from the bike. Before I sold it, I put the bandit back to stock, and it was actually more enjoyable to ride. (Marginally slower, but more enjoyable)

If you are looking to gain a couple HP, I would recomend you spend your money on a Power Commander III. It will get you more HP than this mod will, and won't attract L.E.O. attention.

Just get a set of Leo Vince exhaust cans and install them and you will be happy.

My FJR has much better throttle response and definitely a noticeable increase in power with them installed.

You don't need a PCIII with them either.

You can get a set of them for the price of a PCIII and the Meissner stuff and be done with it.

you really need to change the entire exhaust system for true performance gains -  head pipes - cans and all. add a K&N air filter and your set. however - i'm 14 months with my stock 08 FJR and still can't understand why anyone would need more power Headscratch
