By very careful riding up the chisos, the tar strips have a high pucker factor even when ridden at a sedate pace.

I'll be riding dirt mostly
I've been there on a street bike before, I don't remember any tar snakes.

This is so tempting. We're working on getting Julia a dual sport. It's not going to happen in the next 3 weeks though.
Big Bend is on my list of places to go. I can't wait to see the ride report.
