So I have made a bunch of changes to increase comfort and such on my Bandit 600. I am thinking the next step will be a bar change.

I am considering a set of Pro Taper Motocross style bars. I am a big (and tall) guy and I enjoy a more upright and standard style seating position. Those that have Motocross style bars how have you liked the change? Do you feel like you have given up too much of the sporty feel in the corners or has the change not affected corner feel/handling to any noticable degree?

Not really a specific Bandit question so I put it here. I am interested in hearing opinions from folks with any ST style bike that has put on Renthal/Pro Taper bars.

You can put spacers under your bar clamps to raise the bars. The rentals will take out some of the vibes of the b6 and give a better feel IMO. Not sure about bar ends for the pro tapers though.

Bar ends will not be much of an issue. I can machine custom bar ends if I need to in the shop but I think I would use some sort of hand guard as a bit of wind/rock break.

I can get pro taper style bars pretty darn cheap, cheaper than a good set of spacers/risers. The big cost will be the longer lines either might need for the brake. I will probably just do stainless lines as I already have a stainless rear brake line.
